'Jurassic Park III' 2001

Looking at the length of the film (a few minutes less than 90 minutes), I expected it to be full of action considering that it was short, but I was bitterly disappointed.

In short, no concept, less action!

It wasn´t as bad as people have described in their reviews. I think I can understand that people might have expected more of it having watched the first one, but still was good.

There are two ways to look at it. The second one had less concept but more action and sci-fi terror. It is the viewers´ choice but I watched both of these films wanting to see the latter and I got it.

Silenced is Korean flick from 2011...its a harrowing watch especially when you know its all based on a true story...basic premise is a teachers gets a job at a deaf school and discovers institutional child abuse both physical and sexual...this is a powerful movie and causes a furor in SKorea and actually led to legal changes and the case being reopened...i guarantee you will feel angry after the film...

Its similar in that its a building filled with bad guys trying to kill trapped good guys but that's it really. Dredd is a post-apocalypse sci fi.

Dredd was filmed before Raid btw.

Incredibly sleazy giallo(violent murder mysteries of a sexual nature). All men are horndogs and all girls are promiscuous in this movie. EXCEPT the lead heroine who is surprisingly very smart and resourceful. Its all very well executed. There is a sex scene every 5 minutes

Incredible soundtrack and so peaceful and quieting. The killings are suitably horrific. The last 30 minutes are effectively suspenseful

Jolly good slice of italian sleaze

The Cabin In The Woods- weird movie :-/

Watched it last night. yep very weird horror movie. Weired start and end. I'm not sure I can call it a horror, but overall the cast and truman cocktail storyline in middle was enjoying.
I'll grade it 6.5 out of 10. (still better than lot other recent horrors tbh)

Just watched new released DVD of 'Prometheus'. Definitely a watch-worthy Sci-fi. Although seems to be a lot of resemblence of 80's 'Alien' but loved it. My grade 8 out of 10.

English Vinglish -- 2012

The Movie reminded me so much of my Grandmother and an unintentional jabs(only as fun) we took at her for not knowing proper Telugu(she has a village accent) From this side of the spectrum it all looks fun....but I do not think it is as fun being on the other side.

A really Beautiful, pure simple movie. Who better than Sridevi to do the character of a simple housewife . Her eyes Speak and communicate with the audience..she does not need to really speak. She carries the role with so much dignity, innocence and determination .

Loved her classmates...the pakistani guy,mexican guy was funny. Loved how the French guy and Sri communicate with each other in french and hindi respectively...

Final speech was wonderful...simple..and heart touching.

Priya Anand was lovely...bubbly...she was great in her southern films as well!!

Some of the dialogues are real tribute to the housewives who unfortunately are kinda ignored in the strata of the society.

I am giving a 10/10 for Picking up the theme....for Sridevi....Nothing groudbreaking....but a simple film with a very good message. Watch it with your Family...especially a mother or your wife

A film that expresses a lot without words!

A wonderfully wonderful film, a brilliantly brilliant film!

Have always been a huge fan of Anurag Nasu, the director, and he was the only reason what pushed me to watch it.

The length of the film was the only problem but it is also understandable that a lot of things required explanations since the main character was shown to be one who could not speak.

Some people may not understand much and may turn it off half way through, but it had got me stuck to it at least.

Lastly, good to see Bollywood finally making a good film after such a long time.

It has a very sweet song too: "Aashiyaa´n" sung by my favourite female singer, Shreya Ghoshal.

The CGI trolls are eye-popping and helluva scary . The scenes are also well made mixing curiosity/suspense well together .

I recommend this to anyone whose tired of seeing Vamps/Werewolfs .

My daughter is a big fan of Matty (The Zebra) and gloria(The hippo) and it seems they have very little screen time in this version.

So, overall good visit for kids but below expectation compared to earlier versions.

Killer Joe

This movie is ADULTS ONLY and that too those with a strong stomach. For 1 hour, its twisted ribald fun but last half hour is truly disturbing stuff. One scene in particular worked my gag reflex like no other movie has ever done. Matthew McConaughey is terrifying as the psychopathic killer. Funny scary twisted. Please don't eat chicken after watching this one!

Killing them softly

Very good crime drama that also provides a grim commentary on Americas current economic climate, quite slow moving at times so won't be everybody's cup of tea. Plenty of superbly acted dialogue and a couple of brilliantly shot violent scenes that are visually stunning. Brad Pitt is fantastic(as always) as the sociopath mob enforcer.
