What was the last song you listened to?

Satinder sartaj's latest release masoomiat!! Very very beautiful song! He is a living legend!!GOAT!!

7 month old song but am hearing it for the first time. The meaning of this song, music and the voice is making me a bit too emotional.:(

Live version of this song is so much better than the original auto tune version, the drum solo is just epic from 3 mins onwards

Anyone heard the new PSL song?

Not too impressed :(

Last year’s was much better

Linger by The Cranberries

I was not a huge fan of the Cranberries when they gained prominence after a string of hits in early 90's namely, Zombie but I liked their unconventional sound as back then all grunge bands were making pretty much the same kind of music.

After the recent untimely and tragic death of singer Dolores O'Riordan, I digged through my mixed tape CD's and found a few songs that I have downloaded back then. I got instantly hooked on Linger and remembered how I loved that song when it first came out.

The chord structure is very basic, D-A-C-G but what makes this song click is the soaring violin section and that dreamy and haunting voice. The lyrics are sweet and heart piercing as well.

I'm sure I might be rude
But its just your attitude
Its tearing me apart
Its ruining every day

And the chorus:

You know I'm such a fool for you
You've got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger

For me its one of the better songs about unrequited love. About a guy who is losing interest in the girl but is not completely quitting the relationship as well. He keeps her lingering on. Been through those feelings myself once. Just a very sweet and touching song. After Dolores O'Riordan's death, the song has taken on a special place for me. RIP.

Out of the blue this song is stuck in my head nowadays. Its from a Bond movie of the same name. Featuring John Barry's hauntingly beautiful composition especially the opening and recurring tune and Nancy Sinatra's seductive voice. Like someone alluded to on youtube, its without any loud or jarring sounds, just a groovy and hypnotic beat like watching a sunset.

Lyrics:

You only live twice, or so it seems
One life for yourself, and one for your dreams
You drift through the years and life seems tame
Till one dream appears and love is its name
And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone
This dream is for you, so pay the price
Make one dream come true, you only live twice
And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone
This dream is for you, so pay the price
Make one dream come true, you only live twice

Simon & Garfunkel - Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall

A really good song from S&G I just heard today for the first time. Have it on repeat. Paul Simon one of the best lyricists of all time.

That song has featured in many a romcom. I wanted to pay my condolences and respects as well (although not as eloquently as you). However the best use of their song in an OST my opinion has been in The Devils Own, I may be biased as this was the first movie I saw alone as a teenager in Romania whilst studying medicine. The song just puts the whole movie in perspective.

When I'm feeling blue,
all I have to do
Is take a look at you,
then I'm not so blue
When you're close to me,
I can feel your heart beat
I can hear you breathing near my ear
Wouldn't you agree, baby you and me got a groovy kind of love.

Anything and everything by Tame Impala. My favorite band currently. All 3 albums are great. Its a modern amalgamation of the music of Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, only more psychedelic and pop. Very rare to hear such creativity and also have so much fun listening to it. Highly recommended!

:))) This brings back so many cheesy memories.I used to be a massive SRK fan as a kid.

He's a legend, very few can match him when it comes to giving us so many amazing memories during his prime.

just an off topic question;

Sahir Ali Bagga, how good is he?

If you don't like this song then don't talk to me, you're not my friend.
