What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

Iftar included some cheese sticks with hummus, ginger nut biscuits, garlic pizza bread and some really nice oven baked baguette. And had homemade chicken biryani for dinner. Beautiful :)

My cricket match was so far today so my fast became void, and the tea was amazing. Sandwiches, samosas, fruit sticks, crisps, homemade flapjacks and brownies, cheese scones, scones and jam. Delicious.

Ramadan is approaching the end! For sehri recently I've been having an Aldi Knock off of Shreddies cereal, and fruit.

My mum made pakoras the other day, and also have had mozzarela fingers, tempura prawns, and for dinner I've had palak ghosht, channa dahl ghosht etc. Honestly speaking, fasts haven't been that difficult
bro are you ripped? Do you lift? If yes, then how do you eat so much junk?

It's ramadan, I don't eat anything during the day so I have to get calories in. Besides I don't stuff myself, just like 1-2 of each, not like the whole packet or anythig.

You must have very excellent self control, desi food especially tastes really good, and then there's the coercing mothers trying to overstuff us

Had biryani from this desi place in Houston

Don’t know why they had resins on the biryani. Saara maza kharab kardiya

Brought sandwiches, kebab sandwiches, tuna sweetcorn sandwiches, prawn cocktail sandwiches, breadsticks etc with us and cousins brought some snacks, chocolate fingers etc. In the evening, we went to a restaurant in Birmingham after the game. As you can see in the pic, was grilled chicken, chips, roti, lamb chops, chicken jalfrezi etc. Really nice foodbirmingham food.jpg

That looks like Sher Khan I think ?

Next time try either of these: Tipu Sultan (although super busy), EastZEast, LaL Qela and potentially Akbars which has gone down a bit but still better then Sher Khan imo; these are all the places great for desi food I'd say

Been there too many times :))) I haven't been Zauq, from those who have I've heard mixed reviews, but then again with Buffet's I think they tend to be about par in general all around Brum so perhaps Zauq is one of the okay ones although there's not much competition if am honest

Carrying on, my grandma has been staying with us last few days, and she just makes a lot of food when she's here. Friday she made a LOT of food as it was my birthday party on Saturday so she done a lot of cooking. Was biryani, some peppers/mushrooms thing, nachos, chicken wings, salads, we done a BBQ too (Kebabs/Burgers), bainghan barta, kola puri chicken, kofte meatballs etc, and then for dessert, cakes and ice creams. Didn't eat much during the day though :)

Just had Aloo Paratha, poached eggs, and fried cauliflower. Should have a nice cup of coffee soon.

I had some choc chip protein ice cream, was quite nice. Also yesterday mum made some edameme fettucine, and made a nice tomato aubergine sauce with it.

Green lemon tea without any sugar. Very healthy.
However, ruined the healthy part with a piece of cake :))
