Time running out for Pakistan to make changes and fix issues - But have we seen enough in this side to feel that they can win the remaining 2 games and draw the series?

We live in hope!

I have voted Pakistan as winner

It will be England and it will be another humiliating experience for our bowlers. Trent Bridge is a 500 run track if England bat first

Pakistan will do well if the batting does well - bowlers are rubbish at the moment.

Pakistan will win this contest - DISCLAIMER: in conceding more boundaries.

Pak should win the toss and bowl
And restrict england to respectable 380 and try to go from ball 1 and chase it down

Most likely, this one is going to be most one sided game - oblate Sarfraz's PAK has been missing in crunch games too many times.

If he wins the toss, PAK should bowl first - that's the best chance to compete here.

England will win. Trent Bridge is a road and I fear for Pakistan's bowling line up tbh.

England.
Dont see us doing anything amazing with the ball to turn around our fortunes.

The difference between the two teams is embarrassingly big. On flatter wickets, no way Pakistani batsmen are out-batting their English counterparts.

The last two times England has played on this ground, they have made 400+ yes?

No. The last time they played here they scored 268 vs india which India chased down comfortably. They did however make 444 vs pak and 480+ vs aus on this ground.

Thanks.

We are in for a 500-run phainta, if our bowlers don't improve on their thought process. Some of these England lads are in ridiculous form.

Flattest pitch in the world. No chance of a win here against England.

If England bat first I honestly think they will hit 500

They have players like Moen coming in and middling it from the get go.

Morgan out means butler returns lol

Our bowlers will learn...they need to learn 'how to bowl' on dead tracks...case study in question David Willey. They can take a few technical tips from him.

However, if there is some help on the pitch, we're more than capable, cue CT17.

Our batting has exceeded expectations this series. And even that was not enough.

I don't see any chance for us.

Pakistan will do well if the batting does well - bowlers are rubbish at the moment.

Even if they bat well their bowlers won't have that skill to even take 4-5 English wickets so it will be another humiliation waiting to happen on Friday.
Just Pray England doesn't win the toss and elect to bat. Else new world record is on offering. The poll should be how many overs will England take defeat Pakistan on Friday if Pakistan bat first. Defeat is certain margin will wary.

Don't even think of doing that else new world record will be made on this ground.

One of Imam Babar Haris or possibly Sarfraz to score a match losing hundred and be praised as the second coming the best ever batsman etc.

What are the batsmen supposed to do when your bowling is minnow level??
Even if pak had scored 400, Eng would have chased it down.

If the par score is 650 then they have to score it just because they made more doesn't mean it was good enough England are scoring over 400 now 350 is nowhere near enough on small grounds and flat wickets.
The bowlers aren't adapting they are more suited to lower scoring matches they need a new strategy to bowl on flatter wickets.

Still going for Pak. We'll eventually come good, insha Allah. I feel we are lacking a quality batsman in the middle. The tail appears to long for my liking.

Pakistan to win the match will look something like this

England: 499/5 (50)
Jos Buttler: 188 (47)
Jason Roy: 166 (101)
Jonny Bairstow: 56 (33)

Pakistan: 500/3 (49.3) - Win by 7 wickets with 3 balls remaining!
Fakhar Zaman: 200 (119)
Babar Azam: 119 (84)
Asif Ali: 88* (27)

Bowling is hopeless right now, we need to hope that all our top 3 in Babar, Fakhar, and Imam click so far only one has clicked and we've still managed 360. Asif Ali also needs to convert those 50's into at least 75+ scores at 200+ SR. If we can get Fakhar, Asif, Imam, and Asif and maybe Hafeez if he is playing to perform then there is no reason why we cannot match England with the bat. England's bowling is pretyy badd they've just got lucky that our bowling has been worse and more than 1 batsman has performed for them. For us with only really one batsman carrying the ship (Fakhar in 2nd Odi, and Imam in 3rd) we've gotten 360 now just imagine at Trent Bridge what we can do if the whole top 3 fires!

Guys the match is on Jummah we are already favorties don't know why people have lost hope, plus it's world cup season where is the jazba!?! England don't want the smoke!

Pakistan is now playing at a level Bangladesh used to play during its initial years.

Yes I vividly remember that match during Bangladesh's first tour to England, where Bangaldesh came within a hair of chasing down 375 and then the very next match scored 360 again.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.

If all top 3 fire, Pakistan can still end up with 350 odd.

Actually Bangladesh defeated the invincible Australian side in England.

This match is going to be important because at this venue we will be playing west indies and england in the world cup and if we some how win tommorow the players can regain that lost confidence to do well at the world cup.

England to win again if Pakistan line up has Sarfaraz, Faheem, Shaheen and Hasan.

Should I pull up scores of the rest of that tri series, or are you familiar with what cam afterwards?

That's exactly my point. Pakistan is as mediocre as the Bangladesh of the past. It will win a few games but will get thrashed 9 out of 10 times by any half decent side.

Bangladesh was not scoring 360 in their initial years. You are exaggerating here by a country mile.

That’s a foolish logic - don’t you see that you are digging hole for yourself? Taluntless BD bowlers didn’t concede 373 or 360 in 45 either.

Pakistan need to focus more on fielding rather than bowling. No doubt the bowling department has been awful nowadays, but still they created chances. Instead of waiting for catches and then dropping it, they need to create the chances by taking taking some blinders in the field.

Yes. And they had no Brighto Paint logo in their kit either. So obviously i'm exaggerating.

What's paint got to do with it!!? You can't compare Bang then to Pak now. Bangladesh have never scored 360 in any one day innings.

Most big teams have already crossed the 400 barrier. We have just started crossing the 300 barrier. Now England will be the first team to cross the 500 barrier and we probably will get to near enough 400 chasing.
Its just more batting practice for both teams.

Bangladesh would've probably chased down the total in the first game.

It would've been the 2nd biggest chase in ODI history.

Pakistan bat first and hit 350+ and restrict England - only hope!

Even the British HC is excited about the game!
