No option but to win for Pakistan but can they pick themselves up and get back on the winning track? SA seem to have got themselves going so not going to be easy.

Who cares now,
I want them to lose Evey coming match in wc. Already CT win deteriorated further this team.

South Africa will get choked & thrashed if the "real Pakistan" shows up on Sunday.

Yes, you know that the unpredictable, cornered tigers when playing to their full potential, with passion, on their day, can beat any team including SA

I wouldn’t be shocked if South Africa won. We are rubbish against spin and Tahir is the spinner we will have to face. Rabada is capable of running through us. If South Africa can see off Amir they can score off the rest of our bowlers.

We need to bat first if we win the toss.

Won’t be easy tbh. They’re good team and they know their strengths.

If Pakistani players don’t hang out late day before the game, real Pakistan may turn up. They will be cornered from going out and chilling and will take their frustration on Proteafire :amla

Pakistan will win this one, it is not up for debate. They will also beat Bang and Afg. The problem is NZ, who are looking very good right now.

Tough to pick a winner in this Battle of Mediocrities. South Africa have more pedigree on paper, but they are playing abysmal cricket at the moment, and always find a way to lose to Pakistan in ICC events. I hope we win the match but Amla scores a hundred.

Its very sad that I have to say this... hopefully we lose and we lose big.

Pakistan will need a slow Amla hundred to ensure a win. :amla

Tougher times approaching for Pakistan cricket am afraid!

I wonder if the fact that cricket is the only sport in which Pakistan has a chance of getting to the semi-finals of a World Cup (hockey is now a distant dream and even in individual sports such as squash Pakistan has no one) is making people hang onto something to make it happen. The reality is Pakistan is a rubbish team and needs to pick itself up and work back towards where they once were — which is a consistent world beater. The last 5 years have shown that against a decent side the chance of success is less than 25%. So even if we are generous and give that in the SA-Pak game the probability of Pakistan winning is about 25%. Which means that more often than not Pakistan is likely to lose the match.

My money is one Pakistan.

South Africa is such a good team with such quality players but hardly performing.

Both teams are out of form. It is supposed to be an interesting match.

I think Pakistan team has the edge due to the fact their batsmen are doing better.

Historically Pakistan has been outplaying South Africa in world tournaments, but this time around with awfull dressing room environment, I am not seeing Pakistan doing better in any of the department. Expecting few changes though.

Fakhar
Imam
Babar
Haris
Sarfaraz
Asif Ali
Imad
Shadab
Wahab
Amir
Hasnain

They should also drop Wahab but that seems to be a distant dream.

Pakistan have to! And I am guessing they will.

real Pakistan has been yawning, partying, sheesha and burger eating and losing matches... dont expect a change... let the RK party continue...

South Africa basically have Rabada and Tahir. Quinton De Kock has gone missing this world cup, so has Miller. Pakistan has a few more players who have stood up (Babar, Fakhar Zaman, Amir, Imam...). I have Pakistan as winners!

Do we have any South African supporters here? Otherwise this thread will go in one direction only.

Seems like more people are voting for SA to win. Maybe not SA supporters, but they do have people who believe in them!
