Is it Ehsan Mani, Wasim Khan or Imran Khan?

Really this decision alone has put Pakistan cricket 5 years back.

All three are culprits.

Imran is a cricket legend but he is out of touch with the game. His opinion today holds less value than a regular fan because he doesn’t watch the game anymore.

Most of his cricket views in the last 10 years have been completely dumb but people hesitate to criticize him because he is the father of Pakistan cricket.

Ehsan Mani is a mummy whom Imran found in some pyramid in England and he got installed as chairman. He is old, lethargic and no different to Shahryar Khan.

The mummy found a con-artist in Leicester who sold himself with the “I want to help Pakistan cricket because I am a patriot” drama, a completely incompetent administrator.

We were told he is a professional, but he appointed Misbah as coach and captain even though Misbah had no prior experience in either role.

He made him the most powerful man in Pakistan cricket based on what?

Why was Misbah on the committee that decided Arthur’s future?

Blame Imran for appointing Mani, blame Mani for appointing Wasim, blame Wasim for appointing Misbah, blame Misbah for appointing Azhar.

If I had to blame one person, that would be Mani. He brought in the "con-artist" from England and he hired the joker and the rest is history.

may be the idea was not bad but the appointment was not appropriate. I respect Misbah but he does not know domestic as much and also has no coaching experience. YK would have made more sense.

The question is , will there be any accountability when Misbah returns back, from back door.

You respect Misbah, for what ?

Only in Pakistan can someone be allowed to learn on the job at the highest level.

Mind boggling how misbah was given all 3 roles without any formal qualification and experience.

Following some of the analysis on the game and folks pointing out that the top two fast bowlers in the ongoing QEA Trophy are averaging 40.
I think there are issues with the bowling, but there’s no excuse for the batting to falter. Frankly need to phase out shafiq and Azhar. Unlike in fast bowling we have options to choose in batting and spin department

While they were right In terms of most number of wickets but they werent taking into account the number of matches.

Sameen Gul has played 3 matches for 7 wickets @25 and Ehsan Adil has 14 wickets in 7 matches @30 while Shinwari has 12 wickets in 5 matches @22.

Tabish Khan and Sohail Khan are only amongst the top with poor average because they have played 8 and 9 matches.

I won’t be surprised if Misbah gets a foreigner as team director after this thrashing to assist him.

I genuinely want to believe that Imran khan is passionate about cricket due to his background but giving Misbah three positions all at once makes me so suspicious. Misbah is contrary to what people believe an ordinary albeit hardworking player. He has no experience for this role and the salary he is drawing. I do think he’s a nice guy and is making the most out of an opportunity which should have never been offered to him.

I think he was offered the role because no serious foreign coaches were interested in taking on the task of dealing with our team. Add in some favouritism, pulling strings behind the scenes and you get Misbah where he is.

The issue with bowling this test was not the bowlers but the management and captain

The Australian bowlers did nothing special. They were getting hardly any movement off the pitch like Pakistani Bowlers. All they did was pitch the ball up and aimed at the stumps. This was a management issue of none of the bowlers bowling at the stumps and pitch the ball up. No one got the message and there was no push even when Abbas bowled maidens for the captain to go over and tell him that you need to aim at the stumps. In the first 3 overs anyone with half a brain could see the difference which required no additional skills simply a different aim. At the stumps and fuller. For almost 600 runs no one did that. That’s all on the captain and coach

So according to you, your bowlers are just brainless and they can't execute their plans on own and wait for the instructions from the management even to aim the stumps?

Keeping ball on target it self is a great skill - it’s not dirty T20 cricket that you keep 5 men on line and be happy to concede six singles in an over. When you are bowling with 7-2 or even 6-3 field, one has to be at 9.9 precision level (it’s a rifle shooting term) and that needs lots of skill.

I have seen almost every ball of this Test and the amount of runs Aussies scored through on side, particularly behind squire and add to that the number of balls PAK pacers kept within sticks (rather lack of it), suggests to me that it’s not a tactical limitation (by management); rather in capability of bowlers to find their radar. They kept it wide (I wrote this by 6th over of the Test that pacers are bowling too wide, not making use of new ball), and whenever tried to bring it back, hopelessly slanted down the leg. Aussies are good back-foot player, yet they enjoyed enough freebies to flick with wrist on front foot - that’s a fundamental bowling error, not tactical error. Everyone knows the line of Test match bowling, even Tundlers from Bangladesh, but execution is something different.

The reason & remedy also I can suggest - STOP valuing PSL or T20; it’s killing PAK cricket. That No. 1 ranking is the biggest curse for PAK cricket since 3/9.

They are taller , quicker, more accurate as a unit , seamed the ball more and swung the ball twice as much as Pakistani fast bowlers. World of difference between the two attacks.

Maybe for being a good ambassador of the game, if nothing else. You don't respect him at all?

Misbah has lost all respect, if he ever had any, he is an embarrassment not an ambassador of cricket.

The root cause of all this problem is Khan's tiff with Najam Sethi who should have never been removed in the first place. After that it has been a series of wrong decisions starting from removing Najam to appointing a relic like Mani who appointed a all talk no action Wasim Khan who brought back the axis of incompetence.
