Easy to be a better team when you have luck on your side. Argentina have been getting the penalties since the Dutch game.
 
Argentina has been the more aggressive team. Their possession, ball passing, play making and team work has been thrilling to watch.
 
Hoping for Messi to win, really feel for that guy. Finally the world can move on from Maradonna and celebrate Messi.

Messi has won it all. Only thing that is missing is a World Cup. He is looking good to fulfill that today.
 
Argentina has dominated, France never had the ball, Argentina kept possession and have scored 2 great goals.

yeh, but there are fans that will use the excuse of him not having a world cup. Maradonna fans and fonaldo fans.

Really like Messi for his down to earth personality. I felt bad for the guy back in 2014 with his hands on his hips.

He was the undisputed GOAT before the World Cup too. No player in history has dominated both goal scoring & playmaking like he has.

He didn’t need to win a World Cup to be the GOAT. Trophies are won by teams not individuals.
 
Argentina have won the COPA title last year. Possibly the World Cup too now.

They have demonstrated they are the best team in the world currently.

Messi needed this WC only to silence those Maradonna/ Ronaldo fans who always held that lack of WC against him. Now they have to acknowledge what the rest of us already knew.

I think a debate between Messi and Maradonna is still valid because it is difficult to truly compare players in different eras.

The debate between Messi and Ronaldo will be settled forever in around 40 mins if Argentina keep it up.

They have been really poor. TBH, they have been poor all tournament. Just got through, thanks to the individual brilliance of their players, but as team, they have been less than impressive.

Agree . But a lot of people don’t understand the game , don’t underrated history & repeat what they hear on commentary.

If Diego was playing now Argentina likely would have won 2-3 world cups in a row .
