Up to a few days ago, it seemed that Zaka Ashraf was headed back in office but the court case has stopped all that.

Whilst we wait for this uncertainty to resolve itself in some civilized manner, let's amuse ourselves by recommending the name of the next Chairman of PCB.
 
I really don't know enough about the candidates. For me the number one criteria is someone who does not believe in the department system. The other criteria is the sensible stuff...

Good administrator
Good diplomacy skills
Understanding of modern cricket / sport in general
Not corrupt.
 
Every decent bloke in Pakistan has a go at administration work and they come out as villains by the end of it

Might as well try the villains now
 
In Pakistan cricket, you are not a villain until you are trusted with serious responsibility

I bet she will nominate Rizwan for a Sitara Imtiaz award as if he has 8k Test runs and 10k ODI runs

To be honest, and jokes aside, we need a good admin who can appoint the right guys. This could be Sana Mir if she had that will.

On a serious note, who do you guys think was the best PCB Chairman to date?
Maybe we can figure out what we liked about the previous ones, and reverse engineer a mould from there

She’s a good choice if I’m fair and honest
 
Mohammad Hafeez would be a good shout, he’s one of the few cricketers that seem to be well educated.

Extremely sensible and very intelligent person who may lack admin level experience (but what significant thing was done by those who supposedly had admin experience?) - but her honesty and right mindset may bring some sense to this fish market in chaos that we call PCB, and our cricket could be put back into the right direction.
 
Mohsin Naqvi appointed as new PCB chairman.Mohsin Naqvi is currently performing the duties of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.

Please give your biased/unbiased opinions on him so that I can form my own opinion.

I want all posters who know him to give their opinion now.

Bro, the thing about this appointment is that he is not coming in elected.

Be it Ehsan Mani, Rameez Raja, Najem Sethi or Zaka Ashraf and now Mohsin Naqvi

All of them became chairman due to a self created loophole where the patron can add two members in BOG of PCB. And the New chairman is always elected from those two BOGs tat were added by the Prime Minister of thr country.

There are other 8-12 BOG members that become BOG through the proper due process but never get the PCB job.

Whether you want to have an biased or inbiased opinion, fact is, no chairman is coming from the cricket admin fertinity that exists.

Shakil Sheikh is a shady guy, but i would still take him as chairman becuase of the work he did in Islambad cricket and plus he has moved his way up in the cricket circle

We talk a lot about selfish players and those who care about their own performances whilst having no impact on the teams results, but one thing we hardly mention is the people in charge of PCB.

Rambo did some dumb crap as Chairman, but he had ideas and he tried to implement them even though it was crappy ideas.

Mohsin Naqvi is a typical Pakistani that has probably never watched a full game of cricket in his life but will take charge of our board. Doesn’t sound like someone that has a clue on how to take Pakistan cricket forward. It’s self interest only. He’ll enjoy the perks of being the chairman and he’ll be gone once Sharif comes back.

It's a pathetic appointment, this guy is a cronie and leech of highest order don't be surprised if Malik makes a comeback
 
I think Salman Butt or Mohammed Asif will be ideal candidates for chairman PCB post. They bring rich professional background and moral ethics that best reflects the PCB as an institution.
 
How about make M Rizwan the chairman? Zaka Ashraf was always on tour with the team anyway. ;)
 
PCB needs to be led by a foreign man/woman with actual credentials; anyone you find inside will come with their own corrupt policies, prejudices, and favors.
 
None of the mentioned guys is worthy of this important position. We need a guy who is a professional in the management area and has vast experience in running such organizations. A guy who prefers justice over parchi and also should have very few to zero controversies in his career.

What credentials Shoaib has of a chairman. What vision has Shoaib put forward which makes him worthy of the job? And I don't mean making YouTube videos.

Where did I talk about Ramiz. Why everything has to be political. Rise above it all man. Shoiab won't do anything. How long do people want musical chairs. A proper system needs to be put in place. Should look at Eng or Aus who appoint proper administrators. Bring someone with credentials from Eng or Aus and give him a free hand for a few years to clean the rot.
 
No need for former cricketers here, need an administrator who has tons of experience of administration.
