Why do Pakistan cricket fans mock terms like “Intent” and “Modern day cricket”?

2024 can be skewed as anyone who played more matches at NY might have terrible numbers.

They’ve set these lads up to fail so they can recall all the junglee who these shills plug every day for a few quid, we’re stuck in a terrible loop, there might be a revamp after the next ODI WC but Pakistan can forget about any productive change until after then, and it wont be guaranteed that they will continue with Hesson; they’ve already bought Misbah on as a selector or something? That’s usually a sign of our great legends being prepared to replace all the evil goreh until they flop and we look for a foreign coach again. The administration is a complete farce.

They will become an associate team if they lose a test status. And I don't see that happening anywhere in near future no matter how bad they do.

How about assessing the pitch and conditions first.

Our former players from the 90s have contributed very little to succession planning in Pakistan cricket. This is one of the reasons why Pakistan cricket has gone backwards. Back then, Pakistan’s style of play was genuinely ahead of its time, you had Afridi opening and powerful all rounders and wicket keepers like Razzaq, Azhar Mahmood and Moin Khan down the order, giving the batting real depth.

Then Misbah took over as the face of Pakistan cricket in 2010 and completely shifted the team’s philosophy and mindset to his tuk-tuk mantra. Low IQ fans then made him their messiah.

Another case of Rizwan’s selfish batting typically leaving too much for the lower order to do.

Bangladesh are 27/3 so you could’ve waited before coming out here crying again. I can only imagine how much of a nightmare you must be for those around you during the jalsa gatherings.

Yes Rizwan should have also batted for those batters who crumbled , too much for lower order to , are you nuts they've been bowled out with three overs to spare.

He forgot to add that the guy who started the collapse was his love Rizwan. It’s funny how lipstick Donny didn’t think it was right to attempt a big shot as long as Agha was there. And the very next ball after agha’s run out the guy tried to hit the ball outside of Mirpur.

Weve seen this bloke desert the side like this on far too many occasions
 
People are lamenting that Rizwan played slow , but the duffers are not realising the so called intent merchants are bowled out with 3 overs to spare.

Clearly our strategy was flawed, Rizwan should have carried in his natural way. BTW the lowest of SR in Pakistan's innings is Farhan with SR 67.

Rizwan getting out early immediately usually produces 3-4 quick wickets. I feel sometimes the balls he plays out are more valuable than the runs he scores which people tend to ignore.

Also I know you probably won't understand this but the longer you play your strike rate is more likely to go down and be harder to maintain.

First they asked for performance

When the players you back started giving performances then they are asking for consistency

When the players you back will start being consistent then they will start asking for trophies

and so on...

But Babar & Rizwan will remain the saviours of Pakistan cricket.
 
Since 2024 world cup final. Against Regular Test playing nations. Removed scotland, netherlands, USA, Oman, UAE performances. Look at the top guys they hit a 4 every 4th ball. That is solid intent.

Abhishek Sharma doing that over 42 matches is astonishing
 
since 2024 run rate of top 7 wicket partnerships for each country against each other.. Excluded opposition from this list. So only test nations. As you can see Australia was winnign a lot of matches during this phase. But conditions negated them. SA was okayish. They had a ceiling. Pakistnan's 3rd wicket partnership has an alarming Dip. Infact worst among all the nations. India's high-risk /high-reward is reflected in this stat. Top 7 players keeps going after bowling. Didn't calculate 8th, 9th, 10th wickets as the averages were very low.

The journalist asked Babar, Shadab and Shaheen about their credibility as T20 players, and particularly emphasised Babar’s poor strike rate…

But Shaheen deflected the question for all of them by saying these questions are only relevant when the Pakistan team plays….

Babar has lost form and even his technique but he could have been a Williamson level white ball player. Rizwan was not the problem. Played him middle order- puts his hands up and finishes games, open the innings- puts his hand up and gives solid start, ask him to captain- casually wins series in Aus and SA like a chad, ask him to keep- does it in efficient autopilot mode.

Ideally Pak team should have been been built around them and Naseem/ Shaheen while plugging the gaps.
