Not only do I feel he is underrated but I think he is the best singer in Pakistan right now. He is better than Rahat Fateh Ali khan who is the most popular Pakistani singer. And average singers like Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar are not even in his league.

This is what A.R. Rahman had to say about Sajjad Ali :

"From the realm of the classical, he metamorphosed into one of the brightest lights of Pakistani pop.Always striking the right note, and never missing a beat, even the most hardened purist has to give Sajjad his due. This man can breathe life in a Ghazal even as he puts the V back into verve. He is one of the very few singers in Pakistan who seems a complete singer. As far as skill is concerned I feel nobody compares to Sajjad Ali. He is simply too good at everything he chooses to create."

The reason why he's called Legend Sajjad Ali.

I doubt any other Pakistani singer is referred to as a legend.

Mein doob raha hun, tumhe kia ghum chale jaana classic

He is not under rated as most acknowledge him to be the best Pakistani singer alive.

Even Mehdi Hassan praised him.

Glad you reminded me of Sajjad Ali. It gave me the opportunity to search up some of his hits. My personal favourite was this one:

I heard him before. I don't like his voice. I just prefer a male voices which have more frequency in the lower range.

He is the grandson of ustad bere Ghulam Ali. I think Sajjad Ali is underrated because he stopped producing music actively when our music industry was down in 2000s maybe that's one of the reason the current generation don't know much about him except a few songs here and there like sahil per khere ho and a couple of coke studios performances.

My personal favorite was Teri Yaad Sataandi from that famous 90s drama.

He is technically a brilliant singer, but his voice is kind of annoying. In addition, he is a complete paindoo.

His brother Waqar Ali has better voice.

Listen to 'mera naam hai mohabbat'. Better than all of Sajjad's vocals.

Can you recommend some of his good numbers? Thanks.

He may be a paindoo unlike 'modern' Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar but I would listen to his music over those 2, 10/10 times

Good for you, but they cater to a different market and have widespread appeal.

Asim Azhar is such a great singer, the young lad has an exceptional voice and the music of his songs...Damn
