So? Thiago Alcantara looks Pakistani. Morata looks a lot like Punjabis. Same could be said about De Gea.
Ya he definitely looks like Akmal's, babar, Harris etc etc Carbon copy
He looks more western Pakistani, the players you named are from the eastern areas
Which part of Western Pakistan? KPK? Balochistan? Klopp looks like my dad, does it mean Germans look similar to Pakistanis? This comparison does not make any sense.

Afghans can look Italian. So Pashtuns in Pakistan can also look Italian. Punjabis and Sindhis look Indian.

I have travelled in Italy extensively and no they dont look like Pakistanis at all...lol.

Many do.
Dark hair and light skinned like many Pakistanis.
Personalities are similar too, very emotional people, often over dramatic.
Since Pakistanis and Indians have the same race for most of the part, I’d say Mexicans, Latin Americans and Fijians
relax Idk why indians are getting triggeredIf this thread asked why Pakistanis resembled Nigerians then not a single indian would be triggered
y'all get mad if the comparison is with a european/middle eastern ethnicity and we all know why

I dont think they like that some Pakistanis dont think they look like Indians. And that Pakistanis claim that they can differentiate in looks who is a Indian and who is a Pakistani.

I'm curious. Why Italy? And why not say Spain or Greece. I've always heard Pakistanis say they have a middle eastern look here, this is the first time I'm reading about the 'Italian look'. That's a decent jump from middle east to southern Europe.
P.S.: There is no 'Pakistani' or an 'Indian' look. The subcontinent is a collective of various subnationalities, each of which have their own look. The Punjabi, Pashtun, the Baloch, the Sindhi, the Bengali, the Bihari, the Tamil, the Marathi, the Mizo/Naga and the Sikkimese have their own distinct looks even if there might be some overlap between ethnicities. India and Pakistan are a political collective, not a racial collective.

I guess it depends on the region, Pakistanis are pretty diverse in terms of looks.
On a side note, it is hilarious how triggered some Indians have gotten. Would you guys still be mad if the thread that said Pakistanis look similar to Somalians?
Get over the skin colour thing guys even if some Pakistanis look Italian, it dosent make them better or worse than anyone.

Not only is their no Pakistani or Indian look, those ethnicities also dont have their own look. They can come in many different shades of color, at least in Pakistan. They can range from Southern European to Sub Sahara Black. However the majority fall somewhere in between those two ranges.
A Spanish friend of mine is often mistaken as a Punjabi. Many times he enters in a Pakistani convenience store and the Pakistani shopkeepers start talking to him in Panjabi.
It's hilarious.
These days he has developed a complete story, he tells them he can't speak Punjabi/Urdu but his father is Pakistani who left him and went back to Pakistan
Some Andalusians and Mallorquins look like an average Punjabi.
To be fair, I can differentiate the average Pashtun guy from the average Punjabi guy, key word being average. I know there are Pashtuns who have a darker complexion and there are Punjabis who are light skinned like Europeans, but it's not that difficult to differentiate the average Pashtun and the average Punjabi guy tbh. It's hard for me to differentiate the Sindhi and the Punjabis though.

An American once asked me if I was Italian. So i guess there is something.
And what defines an "American"?
pathans look balkan, south european. rest of pakistanis only if their light skin. would be more accurate to say some pakistanis look similar to some italians.
gennaro gattuso in a shalwar kameez walking in peshawer, no one would raise an eyebrow.
it's not about light skin, more about the face structure, if you look at my post above some say Muhammad Asif resembles Buffon even though no one would say Asif is light skinned. Also not everyone in northern Pakistan is Pashtun, there are so many other ethnic groups especially in Gilgit Baltistan.
Check this vlog out, the vlogger is Italian-American and he travelled all across Pakistan - this particular video is from Gilgit and he's stunned by the diversity of the people
Why Italians looks similar to Pakistanis? Its hard to distinguish between them by the looks.
I dont about this one, last I checked Javed Miandad, Pervez Musharaff, Shoib Akhtar, Mohammad Yousuf, Rashid Latif dont look Italian.
Guys like Imran, Shahid Afridi's etc I would say is in the minority, the entire Pakistani population don't look like them..

And swiss look like Indians
]
I kid you not but my old building watchman in India looks exactly like a tanned and brown version of former US President George Bush jr. Some American resemblances too unless George Bush ancestors happen to be from Italy and my building watchman ancestors happen to be from Pakistan. What is the real issue here?
1. Pakistans see Italians as handsome people and want to look like them?
2. Some Indians got jealous of the comparison and throw out some random names to kill OP’s point.
There are all kinds of people in every country. A couple of good looking italian fotballers don’t represent the looks of all Italians. In Italy, like any country, be it Pakistan or India you will see many people like Chiellini and you will see many like Maldini. In the end it’s the inner beauty which counts.
Jealous ? Oh dear, you couldn't be further from the truth, it seems some of you Pakistanis are sensitive when told you don't look like Italians in general..
Had the OP placed the title why 'some' Pakistanis look like Italians it would have made more sense. It's like saying why do Indians look like Europeans and when ppl comment on how ridiculous that comparison is, the Indians bring in someone like Hrithik Roshan into the picture to make a point, makes little sense..
Lol, why are you getting touchy? My posts were against both the OP and the reactions from you guys. I said that pakistanis want to be compared with Italians as they think theyare good looking. Some fotballers don’t represent the entire population. There are all kinds of people.
If a random person from Chile knows Indians only through Bollywood he can not just say Indians look like Chileans. That sound stupid right? Same way OP sounds stupid, and reactions of some of the insecure Indians here are more stupid.
None of the Indians here are "insecure". It's just an amusing thread is all. Pakistanis are on average a shade lighter than Indians on average and I don't think anybody is denying that. Indians don't look similar to anyone, Indians just look like Indians with a lot of distinct looks for each ethnic group.
But in my time here, I've seen Pakistanis say they look similar to Arabs, Iranians, Latinos, Turks and now Italians. I wouldn't be surprised if someone says Pakistanis look similar to Scots or Norwegians next. Basically I've seen Pakistanis say they look similar to every other people west of Pakistan other than Pakistanis themselves. That if anything is insecurity, there seems to be a lack of a proper definition of what really a "Pakistani" identity is and that probably makes some Pakistanis take pride in things that are not rooted to the region that's Pakistan but elsewhere.
Saying your nationality/ethnicity resembles another doesn't mean that you identify as the ethnicity, this isn't about "identity" something you people always harp on about on Pakistani forums even if they zero relevance to the subject. I don't know if you're new to the internet but there are numerous comparisons between ethnic groups and a supposed similairities (based off looks) and it isn't just Pakistanis, but Arabs, Persians, Latinos, Filipinos, Indians and every single ethnicity in the world. There several thousands of internets posts, Tiktok videos, youtube videos, etc asking why do Indians "look latino, spanish, greek, persian" etc. it's literally so common in America to see Indian girls and even guys brag about being mistaken for any white ethnicity other than Indian, perhaps you've never left India or you're of the older generation so aren't in the loop with social media. This probably stands out to me because I'm a Tamil, who are known to be notoriously proud and chauvinistic about their culture and language.
If someone said my roots are from anywhere except Tamil, I would be devastated like most other Tamils. I remember once I found a book on the people of my particular caste and when we were discussing it, my parents remarked that there is a small chance that our ancestors might be actually Tulu rather than Tamil and I remember feeling down, even though it's silly.
It's the same with most Pakistanis, if anything Indians still have the Hindu caste system where you guys take pride in being Aryans and claim your roots lie outside south asia, even in south india you guys have so called "brahmins" that discriminate against other south indians despite being the same color just cause they may have some distant foreign ancestry,Like Tamils, most other Indian ethnic groups search for their roots in their own region, taking pride in
Based off what?it, but with Pakistanis, it appears to be opposite and they seem to search for their roots from everywhere but Pakistan. There seems to be a lack of pride on having roots truly in Pakistan but more from elsewhere like west asia or even Europe.
Your comment makes no sense. Saying we possibly resemble other Indo-European ethnic groups doesn't mean we aren't proud Pakistanis, this thread isn't even about identity - we're not identifying as Italian or Tamil or whatever, you really need to work on your comprehension instead of projecting your insecurities. There are so many Indians that claim they look mexican or afghan, I've seen it all over the internet and in person so based off my experience I could claim Indians have an identity crisis and don't want associate with south asiaI don't know if it's to dissociate themselves far from Indians or the Indian identity to strengthen the two nation theory on which Pakistan was created.
Bollywood is notorious for being colorist and whitewashing Indians, most of your actors are from minority communities or have foreign ancestry. Pakistanis don't need to "distance" ourselves from an "Indian identity" - we aren't Indians, we literally have our own country if that isn't obvious to you
What even is an Indian identity - it's a country home to thousands of ethnic groups or should I say nations and in the historical and ethnographical sense you as a Tamil aren't even Indian if you really want to get specific, Tamils are part of the Dravidian race, they were never part of most empires that ruled over south asia neither are you guys Indo-Aryans so it's funny that you're advocating for "Indian identity" at the cost of your own Dradvidian identity. The "Pakistani" identity is a relatively new one that's around 70 years old but it's old enough to form a distinct identity in itself like the Bangladeshis seem to have managed than search for identities outside of Pakistan.
Apparently saying certain ethnic groups can have some people that resemble each other must mean we're "looking for our identity outside of Pakistan" you make no sense, I have to mince my words but you really aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. You should get out more and meet more people whenever you guy time off from posting comments online for a living.
I've never visited an Indian forum in my life but y'all flock to Pakistani websites all the time, just imagine if a Pakistani was a regular poster on an Iranian forum you guys would claiming we have a "identity crisis" well then what does that make you?

reactions of some of the insecure Indians here are more stupid.
thinking they look like Italians affects my mortgage payments, bills, heck even the lives of ppl around me..

I've seen numerous threads all over the internet on various sites where Indians have compared to themselves to almost every Europeak & middle eastern ethnicity imaginable so I don't know why you're acting all insecure if one Pakistani or even a few are of the opinions that they may resemble ethnicities to the west of them.
You don't know what the word identity means and neither were you able to comprehend a word that the OP said. The OP and nor has any Pakistani said we aren't proud Pakistanis and that we're "not Pakistanis"Saying your nationality/ethnicity resembles another doesn't mean that you identify as the ethnicity, this isn't about "identity" something you people always harp on about on Pakistani forums even if they zero relevance to the subject. I don't know if you're new to the internet but there are numerous comparisons between ethnic groups and a supposed similairities (based off looks) and it isn't just Pakistanis, but Arabs, Persians, Latinos, Filipinos, Indians and every single ethnicity in the world. To you guys, most Pakistanis have never heard of Tamil and here in America neither do most people know you guys exist let along claims of Tamils being "notorious for being proud and chauvinistic" - literally every ethnicity says that, I know Punjabis and Sindhis from Pakistan that are just as chauvinistic but I wouldn't expect you to know the specifics since you're not from Pakistan.
You're a South Indian so wouldn't know anything about a country over a thousand miles away. Also it's funny you claim "Tamils are the proudest people" when the Tamil film industry from I've heard only casts fair skinned actors and a lot of the actresses are from north india
https://www.idiva.com/entertainment...-rule-the-south-indian-film-industry/17013173
I don't know or care what the difference is but if you're so proud of being Tamil then you would've supported your Tamil brethren in Sri Lanka and carved out an Independent Tamil country for yourselves.
It's the same with most Pakistanis, if anything Indians still have the Hindu caste system where you guys take pride in being Aryans and claim your roots lie outside south asia, even in south india you guys have so called "brahmins" that discriminate against other south indians despite being the same color just cause they may have some distant foreign ancestry,

Indians are so "proud" of being Indian that they want to look European
Thaigo looks more mixed race, he has a Brazlian background. Of course there are some similarities but overall Italians resemble Pakistanis. I've been asked if im Italian myself in London, was proud to say no British Pakistani.![]()
Yeah, I feel soo insecure right now because Pakistanis think they look like Italians LMAO
Yeah like Pakistanisthinking they look like Italians affects my mortgage payments, bills, heck even the lives of ppl around me..
Please saveee meeeeee
I couldn't give 2 flyin hoots, thread was created to get ppl's opinions and I shared my opinion....![]()
You don't get the difference do you?
Those Indians are prejudiced about fair skin and believe fair skin is more beautiful which is why they opt for fairness creams.
They don't believe they are European or they resemble Europeans, they "want" to look like Europeans because of their prejudices towards fair complexion.
Surely you must-have come across pakistani patharns who resemble of Europeans with blond hair and blue green eyes, my niece and nephew both resemble them features
Lol, you seem confused on so many levels here. Firstly OP mentioned pakistanis look like Italians. And then you commented on a video where you said some Indians want fair skin because they «want» to look like Europeans.
So tell me in your opinion, what is more «bad»: 1) people who think they naturally look like others or 2) people who use cosmetics to try to look like others?
Its about time we pakistanis should stop being ashamed of our Indian heritage. We are who we are and that’s how the whole world sees us.
