Will Mohammad Hafeez be banned from bowling in ICC T20 World Cup 2021?

Well, it is that time of the period where a World Cup is just around the corner, and we have Hafeez in the Pakistan squad. Would ICC ban Hafeez from bowling due to suspect action in the upcoming Word T20?

A little history, both Saeed Ajmal and Hafeez got banned from bowling before 2015 World Cup (due to change in rules from ICC back then). Hence forth, Saeed Retired after few international games and Hafeez concentrated on being a batsman while clearing his action a few times and bowling less.

Now that Hafeez the bowler was M.O.M. in the latest match, would ICC monitor his action and ban him right away if a single delivery fit their radar due an international game against NZ and ENG?

I hope this doesn’t happen but ICC is notorious in pulling such things off.

If Hafeez is smart he won't bowl an over in international cricket till the World Cup. Can be a major ace up our sleeve at the World Cup. But for that he actually should be able to bowl in the first place.

Don't blame the ICC; in fact ICC is lenient so far on him; his occasional chucking is for every one to see
Same I said about Saeed Ajmal in 2013-2014 that this is so evident one day he will be caught; and that happened

Also shows lack of decentish spinners from PCB part which they were not able to develop;
I hate when some of our fans blame ICC, BCCI for our own failings; and this is what PCB officials also use as an excuse t deflect from their sheer incompetence

Is it the fault of ICC/BCCI that PCB failed to even find a normal off spinner in last 7 years, and still has to rely on Hafeez's chucking?

The solution is simple. Since Hafeez passes on moral statements about Muhammad Amir's character. Hopefully, he will not resort to such intentional bending of rules and chucking certain balls. It is better for Hafeez to play sensibly and within the laws of the game. Pakistanis should get over this victim mentality if the western and Indian boards are against them. If a cricketer can not do the basics right he should go back to the domestic system and get it fixed.

I think, all these stories against Western/ICC/BCCI boards are just created by useless PCB officials just to tell everyone, "Hamaare sath zyadti hui"
In fact, its the incompetence of PCB that lead us to current situation that we dont even have half genuine off spinner

I’d rather he is. We needed to pick Iftikhar Chacha and trusted him to bowl against left handed openers in the powerplay

Instead, Hafeez getting wickets up front and possibly helping Pakistan’s cause may taint our title campaign

What if Hafeez was banned from bowling in the early 2010s and he concentrated wholly on his batting? He should've had a good batting career.

Correct me if I am wrong but it is on field umpires that have to initiate the report for suspect action during a game and given our only intl till t20 are home games in which there will be our umpires I think he is fine. He should avoid bowling in practice games and even against weaker sides initially. Also I think if he is reported in wt20 he is allowed to complete tournament but has to do the testing. Etc after it is my understanding.

If Hafeez is chucking why did nobody report him vs WI?

Given Hafeez has remodelled his action and this has been cleared by the ICC we shouldn't be speculating about the legality of his bowling for the WT20.

Well it's his last tournament. He might as well have as much fun as he wants.
Anyway it is not like his bowling is some nuclear weapon.
At best he will bowl 1-2 over against a leftie matchup in a random match

Why wouldn’t the Pakistani fans blame ICC?
Let me explain (and read this with an open mind).
Hafeez got called in 2005, 2009, remodeled as per ICC’a guidance and came back to bowl. Now just when things were fine, he was called against in 2015, then in 2017,2018. Everytime he corrected the action, served the ban. Now ICC is approving his action. As a cricketer I am convinced that my action is fine, so I can bowl the way I was tested. But suddenly some umpire keeps coming back and calling him out. Either ICC rules needs revamping, or the umpires do. What has this got to do with Hafeez who kept coming back with remodeled action. He doesn’t even bowl Doosra that is a suspect delivery.

I feel he is wrongfully accused. Either have all bowlers tested and remove this witch hunt for certain bowlers, or don’t let umpires call at all.

Hafeez is as good as specialist spinner , his batting is inconsistent , but with bowling he brings in a lot in these conditions.
