Explosions in Srinagar cause panic, fear​


The latest explosions in Srinagar have plunged residents back into fear and uncertainty.

“There was a moment of relief when the ceasefire was announced,” Madiha Farooq, who lives in the capital of Indian-administered Kashmir, told Al Jazeera.

“Our extended family had just gathered for tea to feel some normalcy. But suddenly, loud blasts shook the air. We panicked, turned off the lights, and huddled together in a corner.”

Electricity was cut off across multiple localities, adding to the confusion. With no official clarification on the nature of the blasts, some residents described feeling “abandoned and unprepared”.

“These were not like the earlier sounds,” said another Srinagar resident. “One of the blasts was so powerful it made the walls tremble. Authorities are not clarifying what is going on; we do not have any shelters, nor did we hear any sirens. We do not know what to do. There is only fear.”

Hopefully they will return to ceasefire. It seems like someone (Modi?) wants to sabotage the ceasefire.

Modi is a warmonger and there is no way he would have not violated the ceasefire, after suffering such humiliation. I pray that everyone in Pakistan stays safe.

After a long time Pakistan Army had regained support from Pakistani people. They had a narrative to sell to Pakistanis. It would have been madness to violate it.

Modi couldn't digest the backlash from Indian people, it would hurt his political career and his legacy.

It's a report from reuters. As you can see the first memtion of ceasefire violations are from Jammu and Srinagar. Pakistan is more likely to violate the ceasefire first here.
 
All the reputed global media reporting the first ceasefire violation happened in Jammu. Anyone with double digit QI can make up then who violated the ceasefire.

I think they have broken it in the hope America takes on Pakistan. They have been choking for US intervention the same way that Israel wants America to take Iran

There were attacks in Pakistan at the same time. It has reported the violations in IOK but not said they were the first. Hope you understand the point I am making.

I remember you recently calling Indian Apus when our civilians were murdered by barbaric terrorists in Pahalgam. To repeat, these were civilians who were given headshots by terrorist scum.

Men murdered in front of their wives and children.

Now you’re supporting beheadings.

Maybe it’s time to also look inwards. But what do I know.

This is from 8:40 pm IST , time stamped , and from a Reuters correspondant. I believe @jamie Smith noted the blasts even earlier.

The allegations of Indian ceasefire violations came later.

The first mention of violation of ceasefire in all the international media reports are from jammu and srinagar. The mention of attacks on pakistan comes later.

Pakistan should be the bigger man and stand down and hopefully Vikram Sahib will keep Indian Army in check and the ceasefire will hold.
