Police are attending a shooting in California, with reports of 20 victims.

The San Bernardino Fire Department tweeted that it was responding to a "20 victim shooting incident" and it was working to clear the scene.

It is still a "very active scene" and police are trying to secure the building, said a spokeswoman from the San Bernardino Police Department.

There may be up to three gunmen she said, and the shooters were heavily armed and possibly wearing body armour.

She did not confirm the number of victims.

A local reporter tweeted that people are being evacuated from the Inland Regional Center, a non-profit medical and health organisation.

Terroristsss!!! Oh no no not Terrorists people. Its one of the local idiots so that means mentally disabled.

Terrorists can only be said when someone labelled as a Muslim :kakmal

Firstly, RIP to the deceased. Another senseless gun massacre.

Americans, this is too much man. Don't tell me this isn't about the guns. How many more mass shootings need to occur before people realise the current background checks are too lax, the loopholes must be closed and doesn't sufficiently prevent lunatics and criminals from getting guns ?

WTH, this shooting was at a Centre for the Disabled ?!

Why would you want to shoot that place up ? Truly sickening.

I think the way mass shooting and terrorism is defined is that, a mass shooter is usually working alone for his own personal revenge. A terrorist will be trained and funded by a larger organization and the heads of them will not be directly involved in the execution. It is a gray area though

This is only going to drive up the sales of guns and bullets. I hope a US President comes along who has the guts to implement gun safety laws across the US

so by that Paris attacks were Mass shooting :srt

They were obviously sick in the head and must have done something in their life previously to become the way they have

Except that is never the case. Domestic mass shooters such as McVeigh and others are always motivated by some other twisted ideology and "higher calling" such as hatred for bigger government, race supremacy, anti-abortion agenda, etc, etc. You only see school shootings where personal vendetta might be the case.

This one involves three people, so it is quite clear it is not individual. For all intents and purposes, this is a case of domestic terrorism but of course it will not be labelled as such.

by the way terrorism is terrorism. Any act that is meant to spread anarchy and terror is terrorism, no matter who did it, an individual or a group.

No word on motive yet. Police are now searching for as many as three suspects described as white males dressed in camouflage.

strange my comments were removed. This looks like a terror attack.

either foreign terrorists or domestic terrorists (working on their own or on behalf of foreign terrorist organizations)

cant be ISIS, dont they usually blow themselves up? These were using high tech gear and had plans to escape.

Most likely this is domestic terrorism.

Or according to the genius, random shooters...

Just the 355 random shootings, then... as long as it isn't ISIS, it's OK.

Except this is California where the gun control is stricter. Its a state where you might not be issued a gun even if you pass all the restrictions

If that was the case, 22 year old virgin Eliot Rodger wouldn't have got a gun before he did his Isla Vista massacre last year.

One of the dead is supposedly a woman and one of the dead had a Muslim name ( not confirmed )

America seems to be a hellhole these days. Islamophobi and mass shootings are so common. Barring Pak/Afganistan, even 3rd world doesn't see so much unrest.

The Daily Beast story is so full of crap.

Looks like they just pulled anything they could find through Googling and went around knocking on doors all over the place and calling people looking for someone to admit they are related to the guy.

The name (even with that specific spelling) is not uncommon on the Internet for a bunch of different people.

Really? that's why it isn't getting that much coverage on Twitter

Cause it is not Paris, no Eiffel tower there, so people don't really care. It is not shoved into many people face by the media, therefore people don't know much and the ones that do know don't really think it is big enough to be tweeted about. I personally, don't really care too much about Paris attack or the San Bernado attack(or whatever it is called). Long as it is not in Canada or affect the people I know, I don't care.

Donald Trump be like " You know, if those people had guns, there wouldn't be 14 people killed.......its true"

The arms manufacturers fund political parties and election campaigns. How do you think Obama was able to spend 1 billion on each election campaign ? He is not a billionaire. Same reason why Obama kisses Israel's a$$ , too many lobbyists and funding. If muslims starts funding these election campaigns and political parties, watch how they all praise Islam rather than bashing. Money talks.

So idiots are now trying to connect this to Da'esh, except a number of things:

1) The gunmen did not say ANYTHING while they were gunning down their victims.

2) They didn't take any hostages and have any usual demands that are political of nature.

3) There are so many targets in southern California that would have been obvious when it comes to a terrorist attack, so why San Bernardino of all places? Driving through their downtown is depressing enough, they're always suffering as it is.

I'm leaning heavily towards workplace violence.

Paris had more coverage than London did with 7/7, did you notice that?

I'm so glad Twitter didn't exist around 9/11.

Have any of the major news outlets released the IDs of the perpetrators? On CNN all it says is the authorities have not commented on their age or race.

If this is daesh Israel is done. It can't be work place violence since 3 shooters were involved. BTW your reasons are so weak. I bet this is a terrorist attack since it was so organized.

Yaa obviously, but Paris is "PARIS" while London is just British where people speak with funny accent and sing like weirdos during a soccer game. I have relatives in London, so I obviously cared and paid more attention to London bombing than Paris attack. I don't use twitter because the last thin I want is listen to people whine, facebook is already enough.

Probably whites. When White psychos want to die, they try to take much people as possible with them.

Except this wasn't the first time Paris was bombed by extremist elements you know?

20 years ago Paris was victim to multiple bombings by the GIA. I had to explain this to so many Americans during the 2003 Iraq invasion when they told me they wouldn't have cared if terrorists bombed Paris back then as payback for their refusal to back the war.

Plus, around the time of 7/7, you had MySpace that was at its peak and Facebook was still only limited to college students and did not allow you the ability to post a status update until much later. And Twitter didn't exist.

Paris is different because in the past year or two we have witnessed the rise of Da'esh and social media is an embedded part of the lives nowadays. Not to mention that the 18 year olds today have no recollection of the 2003 Iraqi invasion.

Actually when the perpetrator is white, the name gets released quite rapidly. Last week when that shooting happened here in Colorado Springs, the guy hadn't even been arrested yet when the name emerged.

I'm discounting the involvement of Da'esh. The only "connection" this attack has to Da'esh is a bunch of Da'esh fanboys on Twitter cheering the attack, which they always do every time an attack happens to bolster their mythical presence.

It took a while for his name to be released actually, not until in the evening.

Shooter is a desi...

I hope you didn't take off that picture from someone named Farook Saeed of his Facebook account. After the Paris shooting some deranged creatures were circulating a Sikh guy's picture as a Terrorist.

It's from The Daily Beast, so I wouldn't be surprised if they plucked it from some dude's FB or even LinkedIn account (although I'm not sure why someone would use a bathroom selfie photo on their LinkedIn profile to begin with).

The getaway car had Utah plates. A rental car perhaps?

I'm off to binge-watch Peaky Blinders.

Who cares if their names get released sooner or later. I just want them not to take people along with them. So many people commit suicide, while it is sad, just don't murder many people with you.

Shooter identified as Syed Farooq. There you go..........

Whatever beef this idiot had, he has surely made life difficult for everybody with an Asian/ Muslim name or appearance. We are now looking at increased vitriol from the likes of Trump

And news now coming in this idiot was of Pakistani origin, but born and raised in US!

This makes no sense. You don't wear tactical gear, carry pipe bombs to avenge disputes...this was obviously well planned ahead of time. Not sure what to believe. The guy had a good job, good education, family. Doesn't seem overtly religious.

and? People of Pakistani origins are not immune to committing mass shooting. There were three people involved so lets wait and see what their motives were. This seems like an organized effort.

So another muslim involved in shooting and possibly Pakistani ? Yeap this will go down well, I now see Palestine & kashmr being liberated..

Initially people were whining why they are not calling this as terrorist activity and now names out tune is changed.

You just ruined your post with that last sentence. I am tired of reading this actually. Being religious or overly religious as some call it isn't synonymous to being terrorist.

It is only idiots who misuse the religion who carry these attacks. Most of the IS people are former criminals and losers in the society who is misleading people.

If you follow the relgion truly and actually are religious in right sense you will not kill innocent people unless you are severely mentally disturbed.

I really have a lot on my heart to say about this topic but time are not allowing me and besides my English sucks so I am not able to get the message through as I want.

its actually fun to see people jump to blaming religion the instant something like this happens. Shows two things :

1- Their lack of knowledge

2- Their hate for certain religion

another islamic terrorist attack. what else is new in the world?

Nopez, u got me wrong - had no intention to blame it on pakistan. I am just saying that there is potential of other pak origins being judged because of actions of a stupid, possibly brainwashed guy.

It's still terrorism. Might not be radical islamic terrorism but terrorism nonetheless.

It looks like a work related massacre as the employee had worked there for 5 years, how is this terrorist related just because he is of Muslim origin name ??

There is nothing to indicate that whatsoever but some Indians had nothing better to do and their agenda is well known before.

2 Muslim terrorists : Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik.

Most likely they were inspired by ISIS. Who else would be so cruel to shoot at mentally disabled people? times millions.

There are somethings here that are curious. Apparently this guy met the girl on a desi dating website meant for handicapped or divorced desis. Does that means he had some sort of a handicap? I dont know. He did work at a center meant for people with developmental disabilities.

Then they say he left the party after what could have been a heated argument. But then he comes back with his wife minutes later all equipped with ammo and armor and whatnot and apparently a plan as well. If it was a spur of the moment thing after a heated argument with a fellow co worker, how does that explain his preparation.

Maybe it was something work related and was building up to that point when something happened that broke the camel's back? I dont know.

But while the events have been tragic and sad, there are some aspects of this whole thing that are really curious. Motivated by ISIS? I don't know. Why did he go to the party (meant to be a Christmas party) leave, and then come back for the killings? If it was planned, why didnt he just show up with his wife in the first place? Did he really want to eat first before conducting his dastardly plan?

I am looking forward to the details. Heart goes out to those who lost their lives and their loved ones so close to the holidays. May they rest in peace!

Typical Pakistani act to do, kill and die for the 'brothers' in the middle east.

Yet not much was said and done in the ummah when the South Asian Rohingyas were being slaughtered.

Double standards and ghulami much?

Its a typical American act by the more integrated US Pakistanis (if that is what they are) compared to the UK due to them being from Lahore or Karachi rather than the Lyalpur as was the case regarding 7/7 or Mirpur/Potohar or Attock etc.

Yes mirupris are saints.

Both the shooters were Pakistanis

"Authorities identified the dead suspects as Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik. Farook was a 28-year-old man born in Illinois to parents who had migrated to the U.S. from Pakistan.[41] He had worked as a food inspector for the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health for the last five years[42][43][44] He was a devout Muslim according to his father and coworkers.[45][46]

Malik was a 27-year-old woman originally from Pakistan who had lived in Saudi Arabia.[47][48]"

another islamic terrorist attack. what else is new in the world?

Authorities have not said anything. It's better to wait for some clues before jumping the gun just because shooters were Muslims.

Syed Farook, an environmental specialist who was born in the U.S., has worked for the San Bernardino County health department for five years.

Tashfeen Malik was Farook's wife, says Hussam Ayloush of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Malik was born in Pakistan and lived in Saudi Arabia before she married Farook about two years ago, according to Ayloush.

The couple had a 6-month-old daughter, whom they left with Farook's mother on the morning of the attack, Ayloush says.

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...rnardino-shootings-what-we-know-one-day-after

---------------------

6-month old baby lost both parents because they decided to go on a killing rampage. Hopefully , kid grows up to be a normal kid and not told about what his parents did.

Surprised to see female doing it to be honest. Normally , you see males.

Freakin stupid people go on killing innocent people, just imagine how much trouble this will give to pakistanis traveling specially with a First name as SYED.

-------

Both were dressed in tactical gear and carrying .223-caliber assault-style rifles, semiautomatic handguns and explosive devices, police say

-------

It doesn't look like some spur-of-the-moment thing. Looked like a planned activity to me.

Freakin stupid people go on killing innocent people, just imagine how much trouble this will give to pakistanis traveling specially with a First name as SYED.

Syen and Malik, there are two names, but I don't think that it works this way.

Folks sharing the same name are not going to be red flagged in airport when these two are already dead. If they were alive then I can understand it.

Why do Pakistanis do this? Why fight so much for others when it isn't reciprocated? Even Afghans don't go the levels that Pakistanis do and they've had half their country destroyed by the west!

Following the example of Indonesians and Malaysians would be better. I haven't heard of these communities doing any terrorist attacks in the west.

Saray jahan ka dard humare jigar main hay and claims like fort of Islam give these delusional lot more fuel for stupidity.
