You Know Things are Bad When.....

When an unfit Afridi is where all your hopes lay upon.

When our bowling is following the batsmen - Being Pathetic.

When you see Tanvir and Sharjeel as substitute fielders. How much more pathetic can you get??

...you make Raina look like Ponting against short pitched deliveries.

When you watch the cricket highlights for netherlands vs ireland on the same day india play Pakistan

Tell me , how does Mallik 'Saheb' manages to find a place in the team? Is it because of some 'Godfather' in the selection panel? This guy isn't good enough to make the 15 member squad, let alone find a place in the playing 11.

He's a champion in our T20 league and the selectors hope that he will replicate it in international cricket.

You know things are bad when............ Kamran 's runout changed the momentum :)))

Laughable excuse this Kamran dismissal was just one wicket

he was the only batsman who would not bat like scared cats so it meant alot..and he was looking in good touch.

When Sarfaraz hitting a Six is best day happened to Pakistan cricket whole day.

Australian spinners are better than pakistani spinners. Losing Ajmal and Hafeez has been a killer blow.

When your team is 51 for 1 after 10 overs and it is considered a big deal
When you're happy you have a player who hit a six.
When you're glad you have a player who crossed 30 runs,
When you have a player whose never opened in international cricket, never faced bowlers like Johnson and co, with two new balls and he does better than half the team.

When you are making Nathan Lyon look like Murali.

When you enjoy Irfan's innings more than some of the frontline batsmen.

When you are making Nathan Lyon look like Murali.

I don't know if its Murali's magic because this the second time Murali has been hired by the Aussies. But it also could be just Pakistan

When a guy with 0 List A centuries scores a century vs you
When your best player gets banned for bowling with illegal action
When your best upcoming 17yr old talent gets banned for match fixing
When your captain is banned for match fixing and influencing a 17 year old to get involved with match fixing
When your entire retired players talk nonsense about your team
When half of your players who played for Pakistan 2-3 years ago talk garbage about your current players
When your country host a damn international match
When your only good players are all either injured or out of form

I think Pakistan fans are probably the most disappointed fans in cricket right now. It is mind boggling. There should be a "Behind the scenes of Pakistan cricket" Documentary. A cameraman should be hired to record all conversations that go behind the dressing room, in PCB office, and in some players home(Misbah, Afridi, Akmal and the ones that matter). EVery series from now till the WC and through out the WC should be taped. If Pakistan wins, it would be the best emotional documentary of all time and if Pakistan doesn't, it could be a tragedy documentary and it will inspire millions of people to contribute to cricket. Its a win - win situation.

He have improved alot and have scored runs in test cricket too against steyn and co and let me tell u an intresting fact that yousuf havent scored a single List A century all his 15 centuries came in international arena bowling isnt the problem batting is

When this was created nearly 5 years ago and things are still the same, or actually much worse.

When indians are consoling us and telling us that we are a better team then what we actually think we are.   :p :p :p :p

when a 40 year old loses his form and people want him to continue because "who will replace him eh?"

This is the circle of life.

When we argue about which players are more crap.

....When Shahid Afridi is the only possible player for a replacement Captain...

....When Shahid Afridi is the only possible player for a replacement Captain...

A reflection of the utter lack of planning and legacy of Misbah for over the past four years that not one of the youngsters has been groomed.

When Afridi at the age of 37 is the T20 captain with the WC almost 2 years away :L

An average of 44.83 at an SR of 86.23 with 49 centuries and 96 fifties, after 452 ODI innings ..... compare those figures with Afridi's.

Sachin has tremendous averages to his credit. Does Afridi have the same?

No, but his average is not very different from those of Indian spin legends Kumble and Harbhajan. And no matter how bad he is with the bat, he's still a Bradman in front of the other two.

When halfway through the match, you stop watching the Paid Subscription of Sky Sports 2 (not caring about how much money you spent) and instead follow the remaining match on cricinfo commentary ....

When even being negative seems too negative you ... and you start making positive threads just to make yourself feel happy...

You know things are bad when the TV is on in front of you and Bhatti, Irfan and Haris are bowling but in your mind you are imagining 2 Ws bowling with Saqi......

When you miss college and wake up at 5 am for this rubbish, and are still sitting in front of the TV without breakfast with your Mum very angry with you for not going to college. :uakmal

When Afridi on its last leg is atm the most valuable player in the ODI squad

when there is a thread on PP with actual replies having this title:
"Why Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik should be in Pakistan's Team" :moyo

When people are actually advocating for Sohail Tanvir's inclusion in the side

Its not bad, its catastrophic situation. People wanting sami, sohail tanveer back. Oh boy...

When Mamoon is no longer the most negative person here :p

Dire times indeed, but I don't know what's so shocking.

i consider you among the more mature / stable /conservative posters, that would not have knee-jerk reactions, especially since what's happening now is what you already predicted and expected. so found it shocking even you are suggesting going back to Sami...actually not going back, but suggesting we should have selected Sami to begin with.

First of all thank you.

Secondly, its not a knee-jerk reaction. I have always maintained that Sami has been mistreated in ODIs in the last few years, and still has plenty to offer in this format.

When a guy who couldnt even make the WC squad is instantly made captain of the ODI team after the world cup :))

Dire times indeed. Ever since 2007. Some hope in between. But lost in gloom always.

Donal Cozzie

When you are being sledged (again and again) by the Irish :p

I was just listening to Bob Dylan - the times that are a changin ...

and hopefully this phase too shall pass. Just hoping that I can see the glory of the Pakistani team again unlike the WI supporters who have been seeing there team fall lower and lower ...
