Younis Khan has to be dropped for the third Test......

He is in retirement mode, but I hope that he will rise to the occasion in the third Test. He will be highly motivated to bow out with a big one.
 
Younis is playing for non-cricketing reasons and cannot be dropped. We are not playing to win , this series is only to fulfill the desires of our "legends" who failed against New Zealand, to make them feel better.

On what basis ? You don't give test birth as a farewell gift. If Imran Khan can drop Majid, why not YK , but knowing Misbah , he will not.

He plays one good inning after 10 flops, he scored a 50 in last test so don't expect another one now.
 
He will make a big daddy hundred in the last match of his career. He deserves to go on high.

His recent track record overseas also suggests that he plays one big innings every series (except New Zealand).

You can't drop your best test batsman going into the final match of the series while series is still open for both sides. If someone needs to be dropped, it has to be Shafiq.
 
[MENTION=141839]moghul[/MENTION] its one more Test.for our greatest ever Test batsman. Why would you drop him like this when after this Test he is gone. Im backing YK to come good like he has many times over the years.
 
LOL why should he be dropped and not Babar or Shafiq. On merit, Shafiq should not play. He has scored 37 runs in 3 innings. Babar and Younis both have scored a 50 at least.

He failed in the 2nd Test. He did perform in the 1st innings of the 1st Test, scored a fifty. In the 2nd innings he was dismissed cheaply but then again the target was just 30 odd runs. And Pakistan won the match. So it won't be fair to say that he failed in the 1st Test.
 
Ridiculous thread. Babar should be dropped for the 3rd Test, he deserves it.
