I still remember people telling me Misbah was an upgrade over Mickey Arthur when I said I hated the decision to remove Mickey... How those 300+ scores on the regular look now?

Why send the most out of form batters in super over?
Babar, Haidar and fakhar would have been the logical choice
 
Why are they planning so much now. A bit of this planning before selecting the batsmen might have helped.

We have to wait at least 3 years to get rid of Misbah. It's just the beginning of becoming worse.
 
Anyone who has watched Khushdil bat even for a bit would know he is better against spin then pace. Why sent him out for the super over?

Should have Haider, fakhar and Babar.
 
If anyone ever says Misbah has any clue whatsoever, show them this superover.

😜👍 but truly Pakistan cricket is at its rock bottom at intelligence level - you had one batsman hitting 124..... then send two absolute hacks in super over .... and get all out in four balls.

U need to send power hitters.....and Iftikhar is an over hyped one.....Should have sent Haider Fakhar Wahab/Musa
 
These tight contests are good for a side with many young inexperienced cricketers. Zimbabwe is actually better than originally imagined. We made the same mistake with Bangladesh in 2015. You play youngsters and this is the outcome you risk.

Even India has lost to Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Tied with Afghanistan so lets not blow things out of proportion

Kohli can play effortless sixes with pure timing and once set he becomes very active in finding boundaries. Unfortunately Baber is not in his class. Baber plays at one pace only.

Forget the talent and technique nonsense.

Someone needs to tell them the rules and regulations and maybe make them watch some cricket.
 
What were these guys thinking. They needed like 10 runs. Is there any brain in those skulls? And why didn't Babar come out himself? Just needed 2 boundaries.

When the head coach is a braindead individual, this is what you can expect of the players.

As for Pakistan changes need to be made and misbah needs to be held responsible I respect and like misbah as a player

But coach and management selector he has been horrible he needs to go simple what could have been an easy win had turned out to be an embarassing loss

When Musa hit that 4 to tie the game all the momentum was with Pakistan

The minute you send iftikahr and khushdil you know it was over

Even throug it's a super over you don't have to go hard at ball one in fact just try to hit a long the ground and you might get a four

Had Pakistan scored 8 or 9 runs in the super over maybe they could have won but their was no way in hell their defending 2 runs
 
Before Misbah, Babar need to be sacked as captain. Horrific decision maker, first allowing Shaheen to bat before Musa and then sending Ifthikhar in super over. Shameful team deserve this humiliation.
 
Sack Misbah now I was ok with his appointment but you can't loose to a team like Zimbabwe at home with your full strength squad. He got lucky with it in the game & then made a blunder by sending Ifthikar in place of haider.
 
In the scenario, Haider, Babar and Wahab were the three players that should have batted. The idea of sending sloggers was really bad because in super overs you have ti play safe in the first 2 deliveries and then slog when deliveries are less. You need players like Haider or Babar who can hit a boundary without slogging. We need to come out of this belief that sloggers are the most aggressive batsmen. Cricket has reshaped and timing and placement has become the key.
 
Babar deserves some stick here aswell, cant all criticise misbah, he probably had more of a say on who is going to come out and bat and who will bowl in the super overs.
 
Yes , matches are won matches are lost. But sending Khushdil Shah over Haider is beyond me. That is something a man of Misbah's experience should have attended to.

Babar is not a natural leader like Kohli. If he was, he would have come out to bat and faced the first ball of the super over. The coach words would not have even mattered.
 
Ppl do go overboard..whats the point of power hitters if you were not goin to send fakhar khushdil etc ..maybe only babz cud have but he could hardly hit the ball himself
 
i dont understand why posters here try to shield babar from criticism.

Its his decision, he is the captain on the field. Not the coach.
