Zimbabwe defeat Pakistan in Super Over, Pakistan win ODI series 2-1

I have low expectations from Fakhar and Haider but Imam should have done better..

Not a good shot by haider. I have observed this since his u19 days. Plays across the line. Will learn. Had an excellent opportunity to see us through today and leave an impression.

This proves imams importance to the team. Once he falls the only reliable player left is babar and to some extent haris. He wont win you most matches but he will definetly save you from humiliation. Our best opening option right now.

Your point doesn't make sense since Imam isn't exactly reliable either.

Yes does goes across the line which he gets away against right arm pacers but with a left armer bringing the ball little bit in he should have been more careful. Hopefully will learn.

... A 54 avg is about as reliable you can get. 21 40+ scores in 39 innings. When is the last time we had a more reliable opener?

What's his strike rate? Think anyone can score consistently as a low strike rate. However, that is not how the modern game is played.

Yes exactly. Hopefully he will learn but it was good to see him adabt to odis was looking solid till then.

Some people think we have Rohit Sharma's and David Warner's waiting to get an opportunity. I'd much rather have Imam than a Mukthar, or Shezzy. He still needs to up his scoring rate though, at the very least cut down on the dot balls and rotate the strike.

Even if we did have Sharm'as and Warner's waiting to get an opportunity we wouldn't know because the spot gets taken up by someone who consistently scored 40 odd runs at a 65 odd strike rate and PCB doesn't give an opportunity to anyone else.

Zimbabwe have been underrated unlucky in the first match comfortably beaten in the 2nd one but on course to win here.

True this was the perfect oppertunity to try out youngsters but misbah instead went with imam and abid.

This is what you get by picking badtameez batsmen.

Walking wickets who perform once in the blue moon.

Haven't we learnt from Afridi.

Only proper batsmen will take Pakistan forward.

Abdullah Shafiq and Saud Shakeel walk into this team.

Today will be the real test of Iftikhar's worth to the team. He needs to finish the match for Pakistan. Khushdil is on debut so cannot be relied on.

One of Babar (Ideally) or Rizwan need to stat atleast till 40-45th over or so

Wow just seen the score and the awful team selection - not a single specialist spinner.

A new low. Misbah Zindabad.

Fakhar averages 30 since Asia Cup 2018. He is not a long term option

"Not watching cricket when I go to roof tops". Who the hell is this dude? Get him off.

Only second match he is oozing with confidence and is young, hence will make mistakes early on. He will learn temperament and playing according to match sittiationthe more he will plays. However he should carry on with his positive intent.

Pak 48/3 after 10

Pakistans batting has been pretty average all series. We were lucky to win the 1st ODI and struggling here as well. Good test to see if we can chase under pressure with 3 early wickets down.

His sr is 80. Kane williamsons sr is 82 with a 47 average. Is he also a bad player?

Yes the cycle of openers we went through ever since Saeed Anwar retired has really showcased the jaw dropping talent we have at that opener positions. Oh the days of Nasir Jamshed, Hafeez, Taufeeq Umar, Khurram Manzoor, Shezzy boy, and all those other immensely talented openers we've had! It's a shame we didn't give those sub 30 average openers a longer run and now that Imam is averaging above 50 how dare he? We need to drop him immediately and bring in another hack like Awais Zia or Mukthar Ahmed that can give us that nice 10 off 3 balls too get us off to that flier we so desperately need.

Name one person right now who you think can come in and average 54 at a 80+ strike rate in all of Pakistan's domestic set up? Does Imam play a bit slow? Yeah like I said he does but instead of dropping a guy who averages 50+ we need to develop him, and work on his strike rotation. I would like to know who you believe these Warner's/Sharma's are that can come in right now and average 45+ with a strike rate above 100 over an extended period of time?

I already said I stand corrected. Why you being so aggressive bro?

Disappointing from Rizwan - poor series for him!
