So lucky Dhawan, he is a good player but i would say Gambhir is better, Dhawan has serious technical issues outside his off-stump...

And Gambhir doesnt? Poking outside the offstump...

Not defending Dhawan here, but Gambhir has got some serious issues of his own

Gambhir is better it's just my personal opinion, Dhawan looks technically deficient against Short ball and outside off stump...

Gambhir has won India a WC, he is a very good player, was just a bit out of form, in his full flow he was very solid, and dhawan is not looking that solid even in his prime form...

He has got a centurytoday, but it wasnt a great innings he should thank to Zim. fielders and Jarvis for bowling that no ball

I think India should drop Rohit or demote him in batting order, Dhawan and Gambhir should open for India

Well I would have Gambhir in prime form as well- mans got a but of grit about him.

Shikhar I would persist with him - for the man has worked on his technique and shown willingness to work on his deficiencies- I remember his last tour to Windies and Rampual make him look like a hack.

The litmus test for him coming up is the SA tour- if he comes out smelling roses then I believe we have got a winner in our ranks. Both men should be on the plane to SA-but we need to have a right/left opening in tests- maybe get Gambhir one down....

I reckon India should drop rohit down the order and open with gambhir and dhawan

2 lefties opening up? Rather have a RH/LH opening combo

I dont think R-H/LH combo really matters as long as you have two good players opening, rohit doesnt really look that impressive at opening position and Gambhir is a match winner as opener...

Bowled was the only dismissal mode likely for Dhawan today, Zimbo fielders werent going to take his catch :)))

Why try and make life any easier for Opposition bowlers and let them settle onto a pattern?

For the tests at the risk of tinkering get Che up and Gambhir one down

Though having said that first Gambhir needs to prove his form and play a bit more of the longer game- missed a trick by not playing county this season....

ODI's dont care- they can play whoever they wish

It would be difficult for India to motivate themselves in a 5 match series against Zimbos. My gut feeling is that Zimbos may win a match or two. Strangely enough, Zimbs themselves seem unmotivated - terrible on the field had a chance to restrict Indian to 200-220.

Makes for ~censored~ cricket.

poor captaincy from Taylor to give last over to williams

Target would be too much for Zimb. now i feel

Classy dhawan ! This is what makes a special side ! You always have someone stepping up and scoring big :misbah

Is this Raza guy pakistani his profile says he was born in pakistan?

We've scored 294. They'll choke at some point, everybody does.

And that's how we win games of one-day cricket, folks.

How can Vinay Koomar be dumped for good? Do the opposition need to take a 100 off his 10 overs for the selectors to realize his worth(lessness)?

Who's this Sibanda? Boy's playing some good shots :ahmed

I think Virat picked his RCB mates Vinay and Unadkat, Otherwise how on the earth they get selected.
