DM We just need u to make the afridi highlights of this match now :-D :-D :-D

after getting hit on the shoulder afridi was angry

what a swat, EDGED for SIX

17.4 Pathan to Shahid Afridi, SIX, short delivery down the leg side,
Afridi goes after it with everything, ball sails over the fine leg
fence, top shot

WHAT IS THIS MAN?????!!!!!

JUST WOW!!!!! :-D

taufeeq wanted to come and calm afridi down and afridi just waved him away!!!

Uh oh...Afridi's strike rate is about to slip below 100.

This is when he'll go for the slog shot

Telling Afridi to calm down is futile, it's like telling a photon to calm down :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

The best thing about that six is the next ball after going after pathan again he defended the ball, welldone today hes batted with a brain and is playing a controlled innings for once. Maybe he does have a brain after all.

damm
negtive bowling getting afridi out

that suckeddd

just 1-2 overs left

what a fkin idiot... 2overs left and he does this...

the guy shud be told off severly by coach and skipper!

kumble outwitted him there

Afridi played a cameo but he cud have done much more

95/1 at the end of play

not a bad end i guess. at the start of our innings we wud have accepted this. that sai, it cud have been better. smart thinking by kumble and good luck too.

Watever afridi make or score its bonus for pakistan and we should be gratfull for that ,, best opeing partnership of the series so far...

AFRIDI PLAYS IN HIS OWN STYLE. It's useless to say he should have played overs out. Sure it can be frustrating to see someone play big shots close to that artificial milestone of the end of play but he sees them as just another over that he can score runs from. It's his method and he's effective in what he does

dm is very much rt there. we can expect afridi to do this and that but his 50 is a derivative of the man he is.
we should enjoy that and realise that it has put us back into the game

DRAW seems to be the most likely result...but India do have an outside chance of winning.
A couple of more wickets today would have helped India's cause immensely...but that was not to be.

ps>Shiv Sena needs to dig up the pitch near the batting area tonight. :oD

seems Schiller you are taken with the concept of young Afridi as an artist. Let genius be in other words.

I still think there is much that needs improvement - though he has looked far better than bad days of yore.

For once he has started playing some shots of the backfoot and defending off backfoot as well. Front foot sloggers dont stand much of a chance in test crickt, as many of our all rounders have found out over the past half decade.

So the hope is for Afridi to acquire a more complete game, technically speaking, than for hopeful swipes ending in big innings.

And as you know, very well I suspect, genius also differentiates in its attention to detail. There are the broad brush strokes, and the finest detail.

I would have taken this pathan to task and given him a few good words in Pustho - I would have told him that unless he learns backfoot and side-on play I will not give him a chance. Its the only thing he would have listened to - and the devil, as always, is in the detail.

though not a fan of joyce but yes :-D
There is a lot of improvement reqd surely and he should have seen that one coming but i dont find it kosher to blame him for a lot just now. he has put us back in contention fp and I guess I am willing to let it be for the while.

Agree in toto there!

Let us hope he adds this to his repertoire and learn some wit with time.

another thing fp is that the balls he hits for 4s and 6s arent really bad balls at time. he just turns them into one, thats why I have started liking him
