The ball is swinging and pathan bowled three beauties but two of wickets were gifted while playing attacking shot under pressure on a swinging pitch. Who in the heaven's name tries to play that shot on a swinging pitch, on 0 for 2 in the first over of the match, facing the hatrick ball!!! Unbelievable!

Bad toss to lose, this!!

Iqbal playing nice..I think the three wicketes that fell was purely because the batsmen were caught off guard..these two saw the ball swinging from the other end and realised to play carefully..YK and Moyo thought the ball would play like on dead pitch..they made a mistake in judgement..

A HUGE MISTAKE!

Well, in 1999 Pakistan were 26-6 against India at Calcutta on day one. In the end they won that match.

So, let us see if this side can fight back.

So what if it's swinging? Are you suggesting that the Pakistan top order can't play if the ball is swinging?

Were they out because of the pitch, because of poor shots, or because of good bowling?

ok i'll c india bat but the way pakistan bowls without line and length you can have the ball do a lot of things but we won't pick up wickets...this is where they strike the difference they don't do the flashy things just they do the simple things well...

oh and not just three balls years and years of disappointment i'm just a once before die hard fan that snapped...

OK lads, here's the plan:

We'll throw all our wickets away slogging and if we're lucky we'll get to 70 all out and then have a bowl at India while the ball is moving all over the place and bowl them out for 300.

Then we get the groundsman on to shave all the grass off the pitch and make it a complete road and score 700 before the groundsman accidentally messes it up with the roller and turns it into a complete minefield and we bowl them out for 150 and win the series.

It can't possibly fail.

I think 250+ is a good score on this pitch - just hope the remaning guys know that .

Anyway, for some strange reason - Malik seems to defend well - which is what we need one of these to do now.

Also, Ganguly being brought in at a time when he can do some damage with the ball as well - good thinking on Indian side - but why Rana is out is beyond me - I suppose he is still injured ? and what happened to Inzis 60% fit and play ? I am afraid, he is going to be accused of what he was accused of against Aussie - Inzi I hope your illness is that bad.
 
I am looking at this position positively..yes we lost 4 wickets, but this is what makes test cricket exciting, fighitng back..and thats what brings out the best in our players as we have seen before..plus the prospect of shoaib and asif bowling on this pitch is as mouth watering as ever..
 
score updates as much as possible people pls !

Also, PAk must not lose any more wickets until lunch - let the conditions get better for batting
