3rd test commentary thread - pak v india @ karachi

Pathan gets slammed through the covers by Farhat this time and another four as I type this msg two in 2 balls!
 
2 fours in a row from Farhat, the first a slash through the covers, the second a beautiful drive through the covers for four on the front foot.
 
Well...the first two dismissals were very good bowling. Yousuf basically got out on a simple in-dipper. Played too early, without any considerable foot movement, didn't have his front foot in the line of the ball and just played too early. Imran Farhat hits pathan for another 4, he's looking good. Afridi looks like he's seeing the ball bigger than most of the batsmen...I have a feeling he'll just do fine in these conditions. Good bowling nevertheless by Pathan, it's the perfect start by India. Pakistan should play intelligently now. there we go Afridi hits a straight drive for 4

feeling of a four is sooooooo nice on this pitch. Better than faislabad and lahore
 
Afridi bowled by Zaheer. Beautifully bowled by Zaheer. Afridi just plays a bad shot on a very good ball. 37/5 now Pakistan. In some deep trouble.
 
Well our first target should be to get to 58 without loosing a wicket :p as we dont want to repeat the performance we showed against Australia at Sharjah.

39 for 5 i couldnt have my breakfast :| well atlest therz no danger of breaking that lowest test score records ;-) ......i feel even if we get 200 odd would be a preety decent effort..........too be honest most of the batters have contributed to their own downfall no feet movement whatsoever................but wlel dont to the indian seamers putting the bowl in the right areas....farhat so far is looking the most likly to survive n counter attack with that rp singh comesinto the atack

raz i felt it was a strong case for raziii to come out infront of freedi oooo gone farhat gone as well trying to attack plays way outside the off stump n edges it.........39 for 6 now pak :O

I hope not because it would be a big blow for people like Merc who are pro-Woolmer as they claim Pakistan no longer has collapses like they used to.

Kamran Akmal in now. One more wicket and we'll have the tail-enders in. Interesting! PCB sure knows what they're doing. First two tests, total belters of pitches...and the final deciding test...a bowling paradise. But anyway, Great bowling by India. Hasty, impatient Pakistani batting.
 
Farhat sucked into that drive, but the ball only found the edge and safely taken.

I missed the pitch report this morning. How long is it likely to remain like this?

Remember people keep your spirits up. I know it is difficult when we are 43 for 6 but we have dug ourselves out and won test matches from worse positions before......we can do it again!
 
From what I can tell there have been some brainless shots played though, eh.

We had Salim Malik and Moin Khan then, Akmal maybe better then Moin as a test batsman but trust me Razzaq is no Salim Malik.

OZGOD, your instincts tell you correct. Although, not taking anything away from the way the Indians have bowled today; brilliant line and good control. They have taken great advantage of the conditions. But 4 out of the 6 dismissals have been poor shots. Farhat showed some patience and got off to a good start only to throw his wicket away to a bad shot. Kamran akmal now is playing brilliantly, late and moving his feet very well
