Yuvraj tends to poke a bit outisde off stump. So Razzaq will be looking to seam it away from yuvraj and hope to get the edge.

I would have brought on Shoaib in place of Asif...
Razzaq is usually quite good at bowling to lefties...he gets the ball to nicely slant across the lefties..he's gotten Ganguly a few time like tht
 
A wicket in the last over, would wrap the day up nicely
 
i don't get this...it's not like razzaq has express pace that he can't control his line. why then ? damn...muftay kay four runs!
and bryan adams is so....early 90s...
 
India's long batting lline up looks like it'll come in handy. Dhoni and Ifran to come.

Gangauly has to get out of the way quick to these shoaib balls. I say slip in the slower ball now.

yeah a slower one to ganguly would be nice wouldn't it...scare him with some pace and put the slow on in there...h ewalks away after playing that one...probably thinking "holy ritz crackers! how did i manage that?"

15.5 Akhtar to Ganguly, 2 runs, very much full, inner edge goes to deep square leg, Ganguly was bold enough to comeback for the second, gutsy approach!

Look at Akthars change of action, you could see he generated more pace. He should have done that from the start to get the wicket.

yes ur right.............im so showie its all waqar younis,s fault in austrailia when he was making he debut..mark nich asked him tell us something about this new guy mohd asif then he started (without knowing any of the facts.......hes from rawalpindi bowls in the hugh 80,s :))) now that we all know neigher hes from pindi nor he bowls in the high 80,s :)))

Such intensity, such fightback, such a huge huge Test match! What a turnaround! From 0-3 in the first innings to a massive kick-a$$ triumph of 341 runs and that too when we declared our world-record second innings with 7 down and the two top scoreres of the first innings still undefeated!
 
woooh......What a day of TEST cricket!! gosh it not only tested the player but also the fans! A true litmus test!

It also shows who the true outrageous optimists are amongst us - those who even at 39/6 were still holding the heads high. I swear I would have been one of them posting here had it not been for me watching the match with mates and thus unable to post.

It also shows how truly fabulous and dangerous Akhtar is when the chips are down. He batted like a true warrior with Akmal on the first day and then came back to deliver absolute thunderbolts scaring the daylights out of Sehwag and Tendulkar, hitting the latter flash bang on the head with a rip-snorting 95 mph brute of a bouncer, contributing to the batsman's tame dismissal soon thereafter.

The thread is most memorable though for the two new aces of Pak cricket - Asif and Akmal. It was being said before this Test that this was once in a lifetime opportunity for a player on either side to make themselves instant legends in their country, and the duo responded so magnificently. Akmal's knock is probably the most precious innings ever played by a Pak batsman, in context of the circumstances and the impact on the Series. Asif's demolition of bewildered Indian top batsmen merely alerted the world that another major bowling superstar from Pak has arrived.

Classic thread. What a comeback, from 39-6 to a 341 run win.

I remember on the cricbuzz chat bar on the side, alot of Indians were laughing and celebrating when we were 0-3. They were talking about how we would get bowled out for 10 and India, through their magnificent batting lineup would make 600. Boy, were they in for a suprise! :)))
 
Oh man.

The memories of this game will live on forever! Just reading back, can't help but laugh at my falling out with Nauman the pessimist!
