Pakistan best bet is to take some Australia wickets now as its cloudy

In 5 innings, Pakistan have only crossed 250 twice and that too just barely. No 300+ scored yet and no batsmen with a century.

Bowlers actually gave this team a chance in Australia for once and Pakistan literally and figuratively dropped the series. Batting wise, its Babar & Imam as the biggest culprit with how pathetic they've been. This is Babar's 3rd tour in Australia and Imam's 2nd. There is zero excuse for their woeful performances. Abdullah & Saud can at least be forgiven since they've never played in Australia even in A tours but Babar & Imam performance on this tour is unforgiveable.

Absolutely love Aamer Jamal has been hit all over the body all series but keeps taking the opposition on.

Jamaal is a fighter. I like his attitude even if his skills are not Interational standard, his attitude is. :)

It's still amazing how India managed to completely neutralize Cummins on 2 tours.

Has absolutely wrecked PAK on this tour

Jamal is trying to hammer everything atm. Good thing that if you have to go down,go down fighting.

Indians did that by batting long . Pak batsmen tend to lose patience once they cross 15 run mark

Hamza should just hang on and let jamal hit it. No need to play any stupid shot now.

Jamal is rejecting singles right. Should look to bang the ball out of the ground or else just keep the strike. Chances will come.

They didn't really.

He was the best bowler of the series from both sides in 2020 series. Top wicket taker with 21 wickets @20. They were let down by Starc who averaged 40 with a high economy.

Good effort from Pakistan to reach here after losing 5 within 100 runs.
Now they will have to make the new ball count. Sydney pitch on day 1 will still have some juice. If Pakistan don't bowl well with the new ball, they will be at Australia's mercy.

Also Lyon. Not being able to wipe off tail on day 5 Sydney track was pathetic of him.

Jamal is brilliant so far... Good batting...taking strikes every over.

Cummins dominated us in 2020-21, won man of the series.

Pujara played like a freak in 2018 and owned Cummins. In 2020-21 again Pujara was the reason Cummins couldn't single-handedly beat us, that time Pujara chose body blows, like Steve Waugh in 1995 WI against Ambrose.

This year when we go to Australia you'll see how important Pujara was in our last 2 wins. No hiding from Cummins this time, 0-5 is inevitable especially if we persist with the clueless Rohit-Dravid combo.Cummins will be man of the series again.

Cummins was the highest wicket taker in India's last tour. 21 wickets at 20.
Doesn't seem like "completely neutralize" to me.

2018 series he was not the bowler he has become in last 2-3 years. Still he picked his wickets at 27, slightly below average but noway near being completely neutralized.

What happened to Pujara? Has he retired

Aamer Jamal will serve Pak cricket well for many years.

Lyon has been completely neutralized by PCT, once again. Biggest passenger of this series.

Pakistan have been competitive this series just lost crucial sessions which resulted in games but they have been very competitive specialy in bowling

Shaheen should have played here, this is a marquee series which happens once in 4 years and Pak have shown some fight unlike previous tour.

A test win in Aus is bigger than 1000 T20I wins, a matchwinning 4fer here is bigger than 1000 man of the matches in T20 format.

This is the place where Imran and Wasim announced their arrival to the world, can't believe Shaheen gets rested here.

Pathetic decision-making - whoever was ultimately responsible.

Aamer Jamal is the best player for Pakistan in this series

Sadly even he has haters, and now they are silenced.

He’s actually the find of 2022, but now has a captain who believes in him instead of a captain who does not.

Very true. He was the one who took body blows and held up one end for long enough for Pant and Gill to score their runs and take India close.

Cummins was the lone warrior that day for Australia.
Bowled his heart out, had no support from others. He was also magnificent at Adelaide.
A lot of times Lyon has failed to deliver in the 4th innings and that innings was a major blot in his career for sure.

I think you guys should stay on topic. No need to discuss Pujra or India in this thread. Please stay on topic.

It's disappointing that shaheen himself didn't put more stock in this test. But to be fair, it's a reflection of our society. No one cares about tests or things that involve the long haul. Just instant gratification and T20s. LIve in the moment.

better than previous tours tbh those teams just gave up and lost from first ball of test
Yes, way better. And despite that hate, we did pretty well compared to the past. Consider we had a new captain and also played with several rookies. I think Shan did well and look forward to him leading for a few years as test captain and imo he should be ODI captain also.

Ok, it's one thing to frustrate aussie bowlers but last 15 min have been hardly any runs. Need to score runs or else get in the Aussies to face a few overs before stumps.

Need to be intelligent here. No need to play shots when not available.

Jamal deserves a 50. Also has Cummins lost faith in Lyon? Continuing with Labuschagne.

Considering Pakistan were like 47 for 4, getting to 276 is quite good even if the total score is still a bit underwhelming.

Hang on hamza. Good tight singles and Aussie are frustrated now.

Previous Pak teams would have been 150 all out here after the horrible start. This Pak middle and lower order is ideal for SENA tests, where run scoring is easy against the old ball.

True. We were just the better team overall now that you mention it.

Wish India had a player like Jamal. He is gold in SENA conditions, this generation's Azhar Mahmood?

Hazlewood at 33 and Starc at 34 have really shown signs of decline . Even the likes of Wasim Akram declined by the time he was 32. Not every bowler can sustain bowling peak until 35 like McGrath. Australia really need to ease their replacements in beginning with the West Indies series.
