SCG is probably the most suitable venue for subcontinent teams due to slightly lower bounce and pace. Top order must be gutted for missing out here.
 
I hate Cummins so much. He is so annoyingly good.

Unfortunate end and a likely Pakistan 220 all out is coming up.
 
Pakistan players seriously lacks brain why would you play a shot like that when you're a top of Australia
 
Rizwan scored highest individual score for Pak in this series, involved in highest partnership as well. Disgusting to see people still bashing him for no reason. They are not true cricket fans, just dummies with agenda.
 
This is the Jamal type pitch hassan and mir will struggle on this pitch
 
arghhhh, literally the first ball of the newly set trap and rizwan falls right into it
well played but damn he needed to press on!
 
We could have reached 300 with Rizwan but pak players never use brain another brain fade moment

yeah could have tried to take on the fielder but the paddle around the corner went wrong
just about getting as close to 250 as we can in this final session now

Hating or liking a player is destroying Pakistan cricket. Rizwan is far better batsman than Sarfraz, over-hyped Babar and others. This guy performs rather than all hype but do nothing.
 
Said this before the 1st test. There is no way sarfaraz should play ahead of rizwan. Pak needs to move on from him. Rizwan should be the preferred keeper. A busy player. Plus his running between the wickets is also leagues ahead of sarfaraz
 
Salman and the remaining batters should look to add at least a hundred more runs here. This pitch is batting-friendly so far and these Aussie Batters will score runs here or else game is gone.

Not watching the match. But if the pitch behavior is typical Australia will bat Pakistan out of the Test match in one innings. Here nominal scores are in the range of 450. Pant and Jadeja added 200 runs in 36 overs or something in 2019.

Rishabh Pant is an anomaly. His batting ability is from a different planet, you can't compare Pakistani batsmen to him especially In Australia.
 
Salman should be careful here and play intelligently. He should bat the whole last session without any more wickets lost at the other end. I know that it is difficult but not impossible.

Even Jadeja was thrashing Starc all over. Ofcourse when they joined score was already 418. It is generally a high scoring venue. Each of the last 3 outings at the SCG India batted very well. In 2019 should have won after enforcing follow on. But two days of rain saved Australia.
 
Overcast condition but rain might not come for the last session.
 
I got a gut feeling Pak will put Australia in a whole lot of trouble when they bat..
 
Sajid has such a similar technique to Mo Hafeez. Almost a copy paste.
You will feel like Hafeez has come out to bat for him.

At the SCG it is tough to contain Australian batting. You can deal with their bowling though. Not batting. They have not lost a test in SCG in the last 10 years. Out of the last 18 innings only 5 times they were bowled out here. Only once bowled under 300 a match they won by 281 runs. Most of the time they scored 400, 500, 600.
 
Cummins doesn't need to bowl good deliveries. They give him wickets on nothing balls.
 
Problem is this is a really good batting surface.

250 won't be nearly enough to be competitive here
 
These Aussie guys give everything in the field. Good 50 for Salman though. SHould look to bat as long as possible.
 
Rizwan has absolutely smashed it compared to that tubby Sarfaraz. It's shocking how some supported Sarfraz for an Australian tour. Understandable in Asia but nowhere else.

In the world T20, 2022 Pakistan batted well against SOuth African bowling at the SCG. Low bounce, low pace Shadab khan made 24 ball 50 against Rabada and co. They made 189 in 20 overs. They will be disappointed if they don't post 350 bare minimum here.
 
Salman is a fighter. And it matters as much as skills when you're playing in adverse conditions

To be fair Sarfraz probably would have played well here on this pitch. But he has gotta go as he is old and inconsiistent.
 
Last 3 wickets all gone to short balls. How easy is it to dismantle this line up!
 
Salman has a mental blockage here. Why would you play such shot.
 
Another gift, We have literally gifted this match on platter, Only Babar ball was wicket taking, you can never even think of competing after such self destruction, this is really heart breaking after the fight in MCG, It's like Oz don't even have to try.

Its not even funny anymore. Why even turn up for such a meek surrender, its like watching sheeps being brought to altar.
 
Pakistan has played Lyon well. But hard to drop him. But Boland would have posed more problems.
 
Throughout the series Cummins been the destroyer of Pakistan batting
 
so can this 4 man attack with Sajid as the spinner who bats well restrict Aussies to around 330 ?
