And only 10 ODI 100s.
Out of those 83 ODI 50s he should have converted at least 20 of those to centuries.
Fitness,never emphasised on that.

If Boult was a pakistani pacer today He would have been labelled as "exposed"![]()
Inzi has 83 ODI 50s my word lol
With all due respect to Imam, good player and good guy but i think Babar needs to open regularly in ODIs with Fakhar.
Inzamam would have scored 30+ ODI hundred, had he focused on his fitness and batted at three or even opened.
For a player of his capabilities, 10 ODI hundreds is nothing. Even Hafeez has surpassed his tally and Babar will surpass it in a couple of years.
One of the most under rated player in history - his 122 at Karachi is probably the best innings in a loss, definitely from PAK.
Imran retired after 1992 WC & some Buzurgs must have feared him regarding new ball, so he went to No. 5, otherwise Imran would have made him the best no. 3 after Viv or leave the game in peace. Most of his ODI 50s ended when he became thirsty and wished to have a little nap in AC dressing room, other wise a set IuH was the most difficult obstacle to remove and he was equally good against pace & spin. Unfortunately bone head ....![]()
Now, I am not liking Fakhar - mentally he is an aggressive batsman who likes to dominate spinners; making an uncharacteristic hundred might be good for stats (and prove a point), but it won't change his situation much. He should be aggressive and attack Sodhi - if he gets out, so it be but one of the biggest mistake in cricket is to believe that stats would be better if an aggressive batsman curbs his basic instincts.
Once someone (Roubuck may be), asked Viv if he had gone for a SR of 60 (instead of 75) could his average gone higher? Viv said that, it would have reduced my average because I would have blocked about 2500 balls unnecessarily.
FZ is good as an aggressor, not steady operator - PAK has at least half a dozen to out perform him in that role.
I think the 80 odd 50s he has scored and many of those being crucial match winning knocks still get him over the line as one of the best ever ODI batsmen of his time and even compared to many players now with inflated averages of above 45
True. Conversion rate is an issue but he batted at 5 mostly
I'd expect Hafeez and Fakhar to open with Azhar at 3. Allows Pakistan to go with 4 specialist bowlers and have an extra batsmen.
Wasn't he a lower order batsman though?
Just because I do not see it happening does not mean that I do not want it to get better.
If we had a pacer of his class we would not have lost 9 out of our last 10 matches against quality teams.
Fitness,never emphasised on that.

How will cheap point scoring against fans who want to celebrate on a forum making it better. Go write to the PCB to if you want bring about real tabdeeli. Fans on a forum can't make it better.
Win T20 bilateral series - Meaningless as only tournaments matter
Win Champions Trophy - Fluke
Win Tests in UAE - HTBs won't win abroad
Win Test in England - London Tests don't count
When can we celebrate then? You seem to keep moving the goalposts.

Fakharrrrrrr Solid boy.... Boult should remember this spankingAlways feels good when we spank good bowlers
The bowler is as good as you make him psychologically. Pakistan have a habit of making certain big names feel like monsters against them
Remmeber bowlers have won us 90% of the match.
He's a weird one.
He needs time to get going and usually needs someone on the other end to take pressure off of him.
Azhar did it extremely well in the CT 17 Final.
In tests?Babar opens, Haris at 3
otherwise Hafeez to open, either Haris or Asif at 6
Just what the doctor ordered![]()
In tests?
Agreed.
Even the other Ul-Haq, Misbah should have batted at 3 when we used to collapse like dominos.
NO.
No 3 in not only about a batting position - it comes with the highest diversity as well. Misbah was never technically good enough to face new ball, he would have struggled to survive. And, No. 3 needs multiple gear for situations like 2/1, 20/1 & 200/1 - guy had only 1st & 5th gear; he would have been lost within himself.
His best position for ODI was No. 6, because he was extremely fit to run for every contact (and not being Afridi he would have touched most balls when 9 fielders are on line), a clean hitter and he was quite intelligent, cool in chase. PAK should have used Umar, Haris, Maqsood & Misbah at 3, 4, 5 & 6 from 1st April 2011, and may be MoHa/Jamshed/Ahmed opener.
Unfortunately those 3 spots when to Azhar, YK & Asad![]()
I am sorry Fakhar for saying you should be dropped in UAE...
We are winning it by 10 wickets..
If only Fakhar improves his game against short pitched bowling.
Good innings. Should hold his head up high. Who knows if he got out early Pakistan may have lost this as we saw when they were chasing an almost identical target against Bangladesh not so long ago.
Canada isn't happening.
Africa is the best option.
what about staging home matches in bangladesh?
