Razzaq need this to establish himself as leading test allrounder.
 
akmal has been on the feild for 940 mins this match

And we complain for getting up in the morning for work

these guys have 46/47 overs, y don't they just let pak batsmen bat..so that maybe akmal can get a double century?

razzaq plays for big sweep and misses- he needs to chill out- not slogging time yet

now we need to bat at least 15 more overs .... 44 overs left right now and 225 to get .... this is very getable especially for a batting line up as good as that of india.
 
Right ok. Razzaq needs the strike as much as possible now! Sami needs to play anchor role! No need for Razzaq to blast yet!
 
i really think that angels have been on the field today...

so many lbw appeals have been turned down whethr or not they should've been...and razzaq has been so sensible...

ALLAH has helped us today

and i say there's a reason for everything...so maybe Allah wants us to win the series???

i think this day would change the course of this series, InshaAllah. Pakistan wud InshaAllah dominate the next two matches.
 
now its just a matter of letting the overs pass..we're not gonna win this match...and any extra runs are just add-ons...

do we remain content with a draw or get razzaq to switch to odi mode and try for a victory, knowing full well that we could end up losing the match if we take this gamble.
i believe taht we should just bat out until we lose all our wickets or play neds as our morale will be lifted tenfold by the manner of the result. however, if we decide to slog now and set india a manageable target which they achieve, we will be psychologically shattered and india will be buoyed by the result and could go on to win the clean sweeep.

lets say we last another 7 overs with the tail and get to 240.

do you think india will come after us and try to get 240 from 35 overs (RR=7).

or will they just play for the draw?

I think Cricinfo's a bit behind. Good innings from Razzaq, really needed under the circumstances.
 
well played razzaq!! played against his natural game and came good for us as he held it togather for a very long time!

They should go out and slog. Extra runs will be priceless now.
 
i really think razzaq and akmal should have played defensively for atleast 10 more overs- wrong time to try and make shots
 
actually..we don't need runs now..we have a god lead..

because we won't win this match...we only need to block and give over the innings to india when 20 overs are left and they need 250 runs to make
 
ozgod that doesnt make sense if they slog they might get 10 -20 runs- but for every over they use up they are taking away a potential 10 runs india can score an over.
 
The only thing in b/w is Shewag in getting that total or notbut lets us forget the hard work done by the our lower order here.
 
but my question is can play be extended past 38 overs- why does cricinfo say a minimum of 40 overs left?
 
i dont think sehwag can hit kaneria on the 5th day wicket plus we can have kan bowling round the wicket like kumble
 
sami and rana need to do the same thing sami and akhtar did against aus

and if sami can do it against aus, they can do it against india

But if they play defensively they might end up getting out anyway.
 
you know wat, realistically speaking, even if we give them a lead of 230 to make in 30 overs, they can still do it....we need to push it down to 25 overs..thats when we'll be SAFE
 
right tahaiqureshi we have seen scores of 200 in 20/20 games regularly.
