So a 5 season PL failure, on 270K a week needs "well wishes" because he's been on the gym..

But but Arteta says Haverzt gives him the most excitement when he takes his top off..

Havertz broke the metrics for taking Win the dog for the longest walks...

He broke the record that Tomiyasu and Jesus had

Certainly not Saka as he’s the best player in the team.

He should be in competition for Odegaard but I have a feeling Arteta will not do this until we’re out of the PL place because he’s got too much of a soft spot for his captain.

If Arteta does fall short of winning PL/CL, I would pin point his fallout with Aubameyang that has led to his downfall. After this event, he became afraid of big personalities and decided to go for a more timid/obedient type of captain in Odegaard.

One of the reasons why I think this Arsenal team is falling short is because there are a lack of leaders in the side and unfortunately for us the one leading the side has actually been a poor leader. There has been countless occasions when Odegaard has gone missing whenever Arsenal were on the back foot.

The vast majority of Arsenal fans believe Rice should be leading the side but that’s a conversation for another day.

Havertz’s best position is the support striker position, where he can be the target man and then lay it off to the likes of Gyokeres and Saka.

Let's simplify this and show how much these fan base gets over excited on stuff that Is complete and utter rubbish

Havertz, just like everyone one else is the squad is a paid professional footballer.

You would expect any footballer getting paid the amounts of money they do, to actually work hare in training, work on improving their game. Work hard to be in best possible physical and mental condition.

As Roy Keane would say its your job.

But because Arsenal PR team have posted videos of just havertz in thr gym. The lemmings in this fan base are acting like it's something ground breaking.

Professional football on 270K a week is in the gym after 5 years.

Wow that's amazing, this must be mind blowing for the rest of the PL and all sports in general. All other paid athletes must just be sat at home doing nothing.

Omg we need to give "positive well wishes" for someone who is training for the job the get paid to do.

The level of stupidly and begging for validation, for someone training "hard" for their "job" is embarrassing

Agree. But as a Neutral, i see Odegaard having a good season. Last season, that injury set him back, never really got consistency back. But Good Competition for places improves team performances, and You guys have got good Quality all-round now. For me, You guys are the team to beat.

Bro. New season, new start. Give the guysa chance. For me, as a Neutral, you Gooners are the team to beat this season. Both Odegaard And Havertz will have Good seasons.

In terms of raw ability, one could argue Odegaard is the best in the side. The problem with him is his lack of mental fortitude. He tends to wilt under pressure.

This isn’t something that can be coached/fixed.

Odegaard is a great player to have when others around him can carry him and take the pressure off him.

He clearly doesn’t thrive when he’s in the spotlight. This is why I don’t understand why Arteta has kept him on as captain.

True. I think it's been a collective issue with the Gooners regarding the mental side of the game. Until, you get the Monkey off Your back and win the title, it will be continue to be there. Winning it, will take your team collectively to another Level.
 
As of right now (11th August)

- Liverpool need another CB and striker
- Chelsea need a new CB or even 2 and a new keeper
- Man city need a new winger

It's opportunities like this where Arsenal should have got their own **** in order and signed a new number 10 and left winger. The reality again for Arsenal could be the lack of quality depth being exposed. Both positions mentioned were more important then some of the so called squad fillers they have signed this summer.

If that's not embarrassment then I don't know what is. Kudus and potentially Eze joining Spurs while we sign an average player from Chelsea for 50 million. A player who was ironically in the Spurs academy.

and for People who want to back Arteta as though he is some victim in all this and has no say blah blah blah.

Just remind yourself that Arteta is the highest paid employee at the club. His say matters A LOT.

If Ezra chooses Spurs over Arsenal it will be shock . Top class player , all over defences last season .

I assume Spurs must have offers him bigger wages ? Maybe he’s still deciding or Arsenal are content with the squad now

The Bag has a hole in it as usual, once again from a squad depth point of view we are short. This will be the downfall again.

If we had actually had or do sign a number 10 and winger, I'd then say we have a squad capable of winning title

Only issue then would be the manager and the lack of winning mentality.

But from a squad point of view, atleast we could day we are fully equipped. But we aren't

This is why I always keep things realistic, rather then fake hope.

Its not a matter of choosing spurs. He has waited a whole window for Arsenal to make their move.

Spurs cant offer bigger wages they actually have a decent wage cap. He just probably thought I wanna play UCL, Arsenal are not serious so might as well get Spurs. No player would choose spurs over Arsenal, even Spurs fan openly admit this.

Its just a matter of Arsenal cocking up the window as usual and waiting for outgoings for thrash - guess who bought in.... Super Mik.

I wanted him to succeed and there is still time in this window. if it wasn't bad enough him wasting money on Havertz at the time, the Madueke signing as really thrown me. Unless as i keep saying he saves it somehow. But its looking more and more likely that signing has handicapped us.

This is what happens when your not ruthless in regards to best decisions for football club.

Arteta picks and choose when to make a so called "ruthless decision" when it suits his agenda.

But when you have an ownership only interested in making money

A manager on 15M a year with no accountability

A Mentally weak captain

A fan base in large parts happy to make excuses

Then this is what you get.

If there was accountability at Arsenal, they would have won the title by now or would have sacked the manager and Brought someone else in.

The fact neither has happen is because winning trophies current at Arsenal is seen as a bonus rather then an actual accountable Metric.
