1st final reached in 6 seasons, yesterday was like watching paint dry. If your going play in final like this, make sure you win it

Agreed it wasn't a good watch - Chelsea came with an odd Game Plan and Arsenal were like fine we don't have to score. I mean obviously another goal would have sealed it but Chelsea didn't do anything. They do still have some good players in there especially midfield.1st final reached in 6 seasons, yesterday was like watching paint dry. If your going play in final like this, make sure you win it

I don't listen to him tbh especially with his narrative with the Palestine situation.Piers Morgan talks absolute Trash. Surely You Gooners can't associate with a absolute xxx end like him.
oh here we go. Liverpool fans think they invented songs at Football matches. The chant about singing in the northbank and winning the league at anfield and at the lane (twice) it is cute... feels awfully similar to what another club came up with first, albeit, the Arsenal version omits winning everything.... they need that European cup... I cannot stand Spurs + their fans keep mouthing off about winning the Europa league.

Ironic that your actual anthem is one from another team. Couldn't make it up.....

I love a good Subs bench pinch invasion celebration. It's only stuck up Premier League celebration police that whinge about it. Its very common in other leagues and International matches.
Funny how Arsenal players being told its only the league cup yet you have Fofana crying his eyes out. hahah hey Fofana its only the league cup you know.

You are missing the point, sustained success is never a given, but setting the groundwork to have a go at it, is all you can do. Of course many factors are at play. For what it is worth, I think if fans were in the stadium, they would have made it toxic for Arteta to get through that period and he might even have been sacked. To have "sustained Sucsess" in English football whether it be Liverpool 80s, Man utd 90s / 2000s, Chelsea under abramovic, City under their owners.
All of these sides
- more money to spend then other teams
- they were seen as the most attractive team to join in the league or Europe
- the pretty much obtained all the best players
- Had world class managers
- The teams were visible head and shoulders above their peers in those eras
Now let's look at Arsenal right now,
- Are Arsenal going to outspend City or Liverpool? No! On top of that City and Liverpool are better are balancing books and it's a reason why they keep throwing money around in case of City
- Are Arsenal most attractive option in PL for players to join? For some players yes, some No. Its nowhere near the level where huge numbers of players are turning down other clubs just for Arsenal
- have Arsenal shown indication they will regularly dominate the domestic cups? No
- Have Arsenal shown indication they will dominate Europe? No, other than Real Madrid no one has shown sustained success in CL
- In regards to PL, even if Pep leaves, or slot was sacked these clubs can still attract managers like Luis Enrique, Anchelloti. Tuchel, Alonso etc. So it's not as though clubs are not going to be able to get other managers in who are top quality.
Whereas teams who had Sustained success had managers who were generational or levels above the rest. The other competing sides had decent managers at best
@Abdullah feel free to counter any of the above and exactly where sustained success is going to come from

Lets not forget the club was a laughing stock 6 years ago.
The great manager Wenger had 13 years after 2004 and did diddly squat, He spent around half a billion in his final 6 or 7 years too, so give me a break with any manager who is there for 6 years and spends money can do it.
I don't like Arsenal but opposition fans often give the best views on your manager and club.
The squad Arsenal have is streets ahead of everyone in the Prem and probably even in Europe. The defensive is pretty much impregnable with the way Arteta sets up, though it takes away from your attack. It doesnt cost you due to the corners factor which again you are streets ahead of of anyone in Europe. 28 goals to the next best in Europe being 20. You don't see 50% better than the second best in ANY metric in football.
The squad age is another HUGE factor, and experience of going close repeatedly means that once they get one over the line, it could open the floodgates. I am hoping it goes the other way and players want to leave for Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Liverpool slot example from last season is flawed- he won it with someone else's team (a bit like Arteta and the FA Cup) but Arteta has built this from the bottom up himself.
We will have to agree to disagree.I've heard some over hyped nonsense in my time but this is right up there.
The club was a laughing stock 6 years?
Let's deals with facts, rather then a formed overhyped opinion.
The club won more trophies and got to more Cup finals in the 6 years before Arteta was in charge. Then his 1st 6 years. So all this golden period in last 6 years is a lot of nonsense.
The squad is streets ahead of everyone in the Premier league? Based on what? We are 6 points clear in the league, no different to Liverpool last season. If Arsenal squad was that far ahead we would be 10-12 points clear minimum right now. Stop Acting like Arsenal have turned the PL into a farmers league
Also getting carried away with the CL league stage means nothing, you simply play 8 fixtures which have zero barring on the knock stages. Liverpool and Barca looked amazing in last seasons group stages, then were knocked out in knockout stages. We will see how good this squad is on the knockout stages under pressure.
Also Arsenal attack is nowhere near "streets ahead of rest of PL or europe".
The likes of Martinelli, trossard, Gyokeres, madueke have been average at best. The fact the clubs resorted to using Merino and havertz as make shift strikers, thar shows how poor the rest of attack options are. Even Saka are one top class forward has been below par this season. But supposedly that's still streets ahead of PL or In Europe.
To dominate in Europe over a sustained period you need a world class or elite midfield like Barca had or real Madrid had, as well as elite forwards. These are only two clubs in last 20 years that have dominated periods in the CL. Arsenal midfield id nowhere near that level. The attack is nowhere near elite level.
Defensively Arsenal are best in europe, but you need a lot more then that going forward to win CL regularly. Inter Milan who had been rock solid in Europe got 2 CL finals, but their lack of elite quality in final 3rd got exposed.
Arsenal should get over the line this season but vast majority of the attackers Martinelli, trossard, Jesus, Gyokores, havertz are nowhere the level to dominate the league domestically or in Europe. Unless Arsenal seriously upgrade most of these players their ain't going to be sustained success.
Just like any other team, opposition teams will eventually find a way to combat set pieces and other things Arsenal are good at. You always have to keep evolving. It only takes 1 bad performance in the cups etc.. and your out.
All other teams that had sustained success over a long period had midfield and attacks way better than everyone domestically and in Europe. Arsenal don't have that, anyone thinking they do are seriously lying to themselves
United have been to multiple cup finals actually! Domestically and EuropeanWe will have to agree to disagree.
The overall squad is better than the others- and is not close to hitting peak age yet. That is the bit as a non Arsenal fan which worries me.
United have been to cup finals last 4 years - still a laughing stock in the league which is where you get judged, so wrong again on that one.
Of course the UCL is not going to be a walk in the park- Pep has one 1 in 8 years at City- Fergie won 2 in 25 years- Klopp and Tuchel have won 1 in I dont know how many years. Simone and Conte probably won't win one! There are so many factors that go into that. So stop misrepresenting what I am saying

In terns of defence 100% agree Arsenal have the best options.
Midfield not a chance. One key injury to Rice or zubemendi and its trouble. Rest of midfield options norgaard, Odegaard merino are average at best, Eze had been hot and cold.
In regards to attack. Manchester City have a better attack then Arsenal. Other then saka, Arsenal attack is blunt to say the least. Cherki, semenyo, haaland and marmoush are a better attacking unit.
So your wild comment about Arsenal being streets ahead holds zero substance.
Also if Arsenal are streets ahead, why is no one mentioning trebles or quadruples? If this teams supposedly thst much better than the rest?
Given Arsenal's defensive prowess it doesn't really matter which of their average forwards play.Overall squad is better than others based on what?

The reason nobody is mentioning trebles and quads is because they still need to get the first league title over over the line.
Most pundits are saying Arsenal should walk this league- it's not just me.
I understand the fear factor amongst the Arsenal fans - but fear can be irrational. It's why Arsenal are playing better away from home than at home right now- which is the last bit of hope I am clinging on to.
Let's see where this ends
Only caught 2nd half. Currently in Barcelona.
Keep racking them up.
Would be good if Liverpool won 2moro... Always liked Liverpool and their fans![]()
Another amazing technical genius post.Yes that’s true but the energy of the spurs players in such conditions was superb . Kudos was excellent too .
Arsenal may soon be the 3rd best club in London after Chelsea and Spurs . Lol
Spurs Fast improving he said.....I cant stand Spurs as a club lol. I only replied to a post because I watched the whole match last night and gave my view. Frank is a different manager, his teams show good discipline and always work hard.
Im not here to say they are better than Arsenal, clearly not yet and maybe only a couple of players would make Arsenals first XI but Arsenal have regressed last season while Spurs are fast improving.
Spurs have won a major trophy, Arteta has not for years now, he must deliver this season. No excuses.
Here was my reply to the aboveWait hold on - Arsenal regressed last season ok I tend to agree but to make that point when trying to say Spurs are improving? based on what 60 mins against a PSG team still on the beach.
My brother they finished 17th last season. What is fast improving? We haven't played a game yet. The competitive game you are basing it on they ultimately lost. So how can you say they are fast improving. No logic applied.
I mean of course they will improve on 17th - otherwise they'll be relegated.
So far I believe they have added Kudus only? and a new manager. You think that alone will suddenly make them a top 5 team?
Yes Arsenal regressed last season but we signed 2 quality players that improve us. So time will tell. We still have not done enough to be where we need to be but that's on Mikel and as I keep saying Tick Tock.
Arteta and Arsenal is a different matter but I just dont get the Spurs logic being applied.
Youre a woman so I dont want to insult you. Do not reply to me, find yourself a boyfriend to cry on his shoulder because you're bottling it again. I dont discuss football on here with numpties who know nothing.

Sesko’s finish last night was amazing. Gyokores I don’t think is capable of that. I don’t think either are great but it’s clear to me that the former has more potential.
Having said that the striker just isn’t the main guy in the team at top teams. He’s just support. And half the time he flops. It’s the wingers who carry the teams and need to expand their goal output.
We all thought we’d bring in Gyokores as the finished product. In reality only Haaland is really excelling at the top teams. And that’s because the man is an outrageous talent.
Another amazing technical genius post.
Are Liverpool now the 3rd best team in the North West?

I was on my lunch break actually. Whereas you and your wingman are here around the clock. Typing on my short break btw.Says the Liverpool fan replying in the Arsenal thread during what I assume he deems "working hours"
Brilliant
Ok sure thing buddy.I was on my lunch break actually. Whereas you and your wingman are here around the clock. Typing on my short break btw.
TheDo you guys ever stop?! Do some work!
We have some people posting while on Umrah, others posting while short staffed in hospitals, God forbid if one of patients had turn for the worse, while some one is posting.Ok sure thing buddy.
Dunno what's more odd - being here around the clock or using lunch and short breaks to be on an Arsenal thread.
Go for a walk or something bro. Find a colleague to go with so you don't walk alone![]()

Were you dropped in the head as a kid?

A Major European trophy you say? This is your anxiety in case we met but you’re fine I don’t visit soho blue bars .
The stupidity of the 3on here is not realising the basics of sports , knock knock you

i apologise if I’ve offended any of you, crossed the line . Now find some friends and try a different sport
Anywayyyyy following on from our previous discussion…what has Arsenal achieved after the Invincibles title?A Major European trophy you say?
The trophy where you have to be appalling the season before to qualify for.
Why can't you fathom that you have be bad to be in there. Who wants that trophy?
Ohhhhh it makes sense now!!! You are calling it a major trophy cos you are probably gonna end up playing in it next season
Well played![]()

he's definitely been dropped on his head numerous times this season
Liverpool will be playing Romania cab drivers, Lithuanian chefs and Austrian Bin men.Seems like it. Conference League is now a major European trophy![]()
When we drop points the system is exposed.
Most have of us have known this but who cares when you win.
It's not sustainable to expect to rely on safety first.
Saka hardly got a kick when he came on. Timber has dropped of a bit. Ben White was on the bench.
Madueke scored but let's be honest he was awful to but at least he scored.
Martinelli needs to be burying that at the end.
Anyway just awaiting the cavalry to arrive now....
Brentford away is as tough as it gets. No need for You Gooners to get down beat
Brentford away is as tough as it gets. No need for You Gooners to get down beat
It's going to be carnage here..
Problem is we're only 4 points up and got to face Spurs, Chelsea and away to Brighton back to back.
Seriously though. Spurs are there for the taking.
Chelsea could be tricky
And Brighton are struggling this season.
That showdown at Ethihad is the one![]()
True bhai but Arsenal need some self-belief, still have the league in your hands- yours to lose, been the best side in the league till now.I have a feeling that game at the Etihad may end being the title decider.
You are not up against prime city, they are not capable of winning 3 or 4 in a row anymore let alone 10.We have won 2 PL games out of the last 5 I think.
We are having a wobble and this time it might be fatal. 4 points is literally 1 more Game week.
I still think we'll do it. It was never gonna be easy.
But I'll be honest doubt is creeping in even for me...
