What's new

As a Pakistan cricket fan, how would you honestly feel if Mohammad Rizwan were to announce his T20I retirement right now?

Can you please find out why he hasn’t signed the central contract?

He’s the only one who hasn’t apparently.
Rizwan knows his days are numbered in white ball cricket, so he wants to have liberty to play leagues around the world whilst he is wanted.

I think he should go a step ahead and retire from international cricket.
No point in being part of a corrupt and nepotistic set-up.

I concur. Rizwan is being targeted for non cricketing reasons which I cannot get into in this thread. He is our best keeper by far. That alone makes him an invaluable asset. We saw what Tulla Harris did in Asia Cup. He saved all his sixes for Oman and couldn't even effect a simple run out. He will score less runs than Rizwan at a pathetic SR against good teams and will flop with the gloves and cost games but it is all good because he can hit 2 sixes against Oman LOL. Or Azam Khan, our savior who could not even power hit against Australia woman's team.

Why can’t he just retire? We don’t want him. We don’t need him.

The young keepers in the country are still extremely poor but Rizwan surely can’t stake a claim to the national side as an opening batsman if he doesn’t improve his SR. He started off like a house on fire but then brought his SR down from 180 to 126 which did ultimately become the difference in that match yesterday albeit Naseem and Amir bowled like crap.

As a keeper undoubtably the best in the country , as an aggressive opening batsman there are many players who simply are built for the format.

Not easy for me to write this as a die hard Rizwan fan, but it’s the truth. Rizwan and Babar both should focus on ODI and TEST unless they can keep that aggression going throughout their innings
