Shadab is not that bad as you are portraying. Any player can have a bad match. He has performed well in matches and produced match winning performance. I will never ever take usama or abrar instead of shadab as he can bat and field well also.
 
Shadab saves 12 runs in boundaries every game. But in response he gives away six 6’s when bowling (ontop of his run a ball 60 off 10)…

he is bad. I used to defend shadab around here, but i saw hi stats other day against every side. He avgs above 30 agianst every side in odi. Thats terrible
 
Even if we make the final now, with this game raine doff India will be so used to our bowling that they will smash us...we, on the other hand, will have had no exposure to the Indian bowling attack...

Once again everyone is pressing the panic button. Just relax. Pace bowling isn't an issue I'm telling you, and India isn't that great.

These posers will struggle especially with rohit and kholi in proper pitches in the world cup.

Shadab is a big problem though. Genuinely needs to be replaced with imad waseem but we know that won't happen.

Shadab has improved his batting skills , but bowling display has gotten worst. Pakistan need a specialist spinner in squad for world cup

Faheem has done his job well, only if he was able to take a wicket. Last three overonly one lucky boundary for Kohli.

After this garbage Asia cup boils over, do you seriously think with kholi's current form, a guy who's struggling to score on a batting paradise pitch, and rohit who scores once in a blue moon + India's longest tail will make it far in the world cup?

Our pacers aren't the problem, our spinners and our garbage middle order? Yup that needs to be checked.
 
It’s a good batting wicket. No need to panic. Keep the damage to as minimal. Anything under 315 should be chase able but if they get 330above, less chance..
 
Kohli wasted juicy ball from Shadab. The ball on which he took single and completed his fifty could've gone to six.

The question is does coach Dravid not have this cricketing intelligence ? Or is he picking his fellow Karnataka-ian out of bias ? Or is someone in the BCCI top level forcing his hand ?

He is an awful bowler.
 
Kohli came to form in the bd series with that hundred in the 3rd odi on a road. Now looks like found his old mojo!

I agree on your comment on Shadab, teams who play spin well will smash him .

Fakhar, Usama/Shadab and Fahim need to be replaced ASAP. Masood, Abrar and Zaman/Ihsanullah should be draft in
 
Shadab Khan's numbers since 2019 WC updated:

Batting avg - 29
Bowling avg - 40

If we just include the teams participating in the 2023 WC (so removing WI, Zim, Nepal bashing):

Batting avg - 24
Bowling avg - 56

That's our Vice Captain and premier all-rounder ladies and gentlemen.
 
There is one factor which a lot of people here bashing your spinners might have to consider, outfield might be wet - makes the ball damp and heavy and not conducive to spin
 
Really wish we were in to bat because this is borderline unwatchable. Faheem Ashraf running in for his bog standard medium pacers is as boring as it gets. I'm in favour of only keeping reserve days for knockout games. The desperation to have this fixture play out in full is pathetic. A total washout would be mercy for Pakistan. But it's evident under this captain Pakistan will get obliterated at the World Cup.
 
So Pak has no left arm spinner when Ind has many right handed batsmen? Gotta go with that left arm spinner forgot his name who can smoke it.
 
If only chacha had some variety, the guy can spin. But needs more variety in his bowling
 
did they need Faheem to bowl the 39th over? They have 11 overs from Rauf, Shaheen, and Naseem

Usama is clearly a better bowler. He has consistently bowled better than Shadab and there isn’t daylight between the two in terms of batting either, but unfortunately, he doesn’t have the golden boy tag which has allowed Shadab to play for 7 years and counting with no accountability.
