It is showing that only one man was single handedly carrying the whole team on his shoulders.
Bumrah had ATG series with the ball and it would be hard to match that performance by anyone ever again in a 5 match series I think.

Literally broke his back carrying the entire team.

Malcolm Marshall played with broken thumb, bumrah bottling it with a bit of back pain 🤭

Generational performance from him.

They will regret that they didn't use it to win another series in Australia.

I take back what I said about Konstas being similar to Afridi.

I think he is worse, as dumb as Imran Nazir at the crease.

Dumb malacca goes again on a silly shot.

+1

Without him, series would have been one sided.

Some posters kept saying that others did this or that. If you can't capitalize on a best away series by a bowler in decades ,where he picked 30 plus wickets at avg of 12, then it means others did not do much.

Ducking before some one comes after me with arguments that Bumrah plays for India so India played well.

Konstas has probably already taken the game away from India.

But the door is now very slightly open.

39/1 after 4 overs is insane.

But tbh Australia shouldn’t put the brakes on - if you prod and defend on this wicket you will get out.

However India have bowled horribly so far - let’s see if they get it together to make it a contest

Without Bumrah, Indian bowling is like a headless chicken.

Bumrah saving himself to play against luke littler, rather then play through pain and win a game here
On that note Azam Khan reminds me of Phil "The Power" Taylor.

Think Phil Taylor could get around the outfield better than Azam "Earthquake" Khan😂

So bumrah was fit enough to bat, but not enough to bowl.

Poor stuff from captain.

He should watch videos of what malcolm Marshall did vs england with one hand

Agree it’s a massive blow.

But still there is more than enough in this wicket for the other Indian bowlers to make Australia at least panic for this chase.

The pressure seem to have gotten to them though

He cannot bowl because he did not field the last hour of India’s first game innings with the ball. He went for scans. I believe that is the reason.

Prasidh is useless. He will never amount to anything.

I will pick Bhuvi Kumar who could use these conditions like a champ. He is only 34. But Indian selectors never select him for away tours. Now he is permanently dropped.

It literally could have been 0-5 (had rain stayed away in Brisbane).
Puts into perspective the performance of others. The next best Indian bowler, is averaging 30+ runs per wicket in the series. A big let down.

A huge disappointment from India. You are right, when a bowler has an ATG series like that then you expect to, at the very least, draw the series.

Batting was shambolic and them falling like nine pins in the last session of MCG test was the biggest failure of the series. No way they should have lost that one.

The performance of just one man had most cricket fans tune in to watch this series and fill the stadiums. The series was entertaining and kudos to both teams, but really when you analyze the series as a whole, India as a team was way off the mark for most of the series.

2022 series didn't have any ATG performances in the bowling but had good contributions from the whole attack, hence a series win for India. Just goes to show one bowler can't win a series on his own.

Reddy has less pace but more control and swing.

They should have given him the new ball - if Kohli had thinked outside the box.

Australia tossed both of their wickets away - not because of great bowling.

India should take inspiration as this gives them a glimmer of hope.

Looks like Kohli is leading the troops, he can have this attack believing in themselves and winning this, great fight back so far, I tuned in to see Kontas to smash the ball around but now the quicks are causing pandemonium for the Aussies, good little battle!

Khawaja can’t even middle half volleys.

Definitely should consider retirement- his hand eye is deserting him.

Excellent umpiring - I had my finger up when I saw it.

Smith moves around so much it looked dead

Smith's gestures when he is hit on the pads are so annoying. Indicating that it was outside the line.
I am surprised umpires don't have a word with him as you are not allowed to gesture to influence a decision.

Australia have a mental block against India when it comes to getting their hands on the trophy. When they see the trophy, their palms get sweaty lol. Bumrah here and they'd have lost this.
