Lol this is ridiculous I condemn AZHAR Ali and this approach I was only fine with Shafique and imam yesterday because they were openers u cha okay it out I’m always fine with 3.0 RR but this is pathetic I would score a faster hundred on this road than AZHAR Ali
 
Azhar has actually premeditated all the blocks. He's not even trying to score off of these over pitched balls. Just dead bats it as if we're 9 down and playing to save the series
 
Imam messed up went into block mode missed out on a 200 a chance which he might not get for some time.
 
No difference in batting for Azhar when on 1 (3) vs when on 103 (260).

Australia have a some chance if Warner or Smith fire a collapse is possible if they can match Pakistan’s first innings score.
 
Like it or not Azhar is here to stay this 100 has given him another 10 tests at least.
 
Only in 5 balls Babar produced a shot to remove the misery of watching Azhar and Imam bat.

Unlike you me and other fans saw this problem isn't only common on the first day but its endemic in the boring way we play and its unforgiveable if this game ends in a draw. Its a flat road.. When this was pointed out yesterday you threw your toys out of the pram :))
 
Safest job in cricket world - Pak top order batsman.
(Be it T20 or Tests, no need to think about team score OR middle order. Play as many balls as you can.)

Worst job in cricket world - Pak middle order batsman.
(The top order won't leave any buffer for you. From ball one you face, play with 170+ SR in T20 and score at 6 RPO in tests. If you fail in doing so, you'll be blamed only but not the top order).

However I don't think situation is too bad as of now. They are some 70-75 runs short. RR of 3.0-3.2 would've been much better.
 
Azhar actually has lots of strokes its amazing how often he gets stuck just for few runs sometimes nearing a milestone even after playing for so long.
 
Plenty of time to improve RR in last session. but first grind Aussies into the dirt here. No mercy
 
The spinner who talked about 3-0 aus victory has 1/114. Make it double century now.
 
As I said Azhar can stroke them well when he wants to. Just Babar's mere presence has probably woken him up.
 
Having a classy player like Babar on pitch makes such a huge difference. I hope we can accelerate now to 500-600 and then give Australia batting in the 2nd half 3rd session.

I think the reality is even shaheen afridi wont be able to get out on this pitch..there is no way we can get 20 wickets on this so might aswell try to score 1000 runs i reckon

Make a statement and get 600.
There is no incentive for declaring or getting bowled out today chasing quick runs. Only thing that can cause result on this road is scoreboard pressure.

So take full toll and bat till lunch tomorrow if need be. Break the spirit of Aussie bowlers.

Even if this match ends in draw it will take toll in rest of series

500 runs will be plenty to have a go at the Aussies, Aussies batter will not give in easily so need lots of time ro bowl them out twice.
 
This has been a great move by the curator. Creating these kinda decks is the only way Pakistancan jope to win test matches
Typical Pindi pitch would have been tough for the Jones side themselves. I criticise Misbah for his ODI career but never for giving Pakistan a template to consistently win tret matches and getting pitches prepared to aid them in this.

Typical Pindi pitch would be playing right into the Australians’ hands. Ironic this post is coming from an Indian fan, who also prepare pitches to completely negate the opposition team’s strengths.

Scoreboard pressure is a big factor, and Australia only have 2-3 batsmen who are good in Asia.

Pakistan should be extremely disappointed if they don’t win from here. A draw from this position would be as bad as a defeat.
 
As long as Rain does not interrupt much on day 4 and 5, Pakistan can win this Test. Pak spinners will do the job.
 
Just throwing it out there - 1st innings should be capped to 140 overs.
 
My view is, Pakistan have probably blown their chances to win this test. They should have been 450 by now but have batted too slow

They might as well declare tomorrow after lunch, and look to bowl out the Aussies twice in 2 and 2/3 sessions.

So what should Babar do...get out without scoring and then you would come out saying that he can't even score here.

Every player has been piling up 'soft runs' on their home turf so its very fair for Babar to finally have a chance to do so on a regular basis.
 
Pakistan need to get to 500 asap and declare.

Getting 20 Aussie wickets won't be easy here.
 
Pakistan should look to score as much as they can in next 1 hour. The minimum score they should target should be 450 in next 1 hour. Give bowlers the last hour to see if they can get any advantage from Aussie batters' tiredness. If the bowlers can get a couple of Aussie batters out today, then that will be a real bonus.

Score 70 odd

Declare and get 1/2 Aussie wickets in 12-13 overs.

He should bat with one hand against the world no 1 test team to make it " harder ", to please some fans. By the way every time Paktanis do well there is always a third element involved, but the same does apply qhwn others make hay in their home ground in front of their own crowd.

Basically any runs Pakistanis score that come at more than a run a ball shows how selfish they are and they are stat padding.

Do not think Pak can bowl out Aussies twice on this wicket without resting bowlers. Score 500 and put Aussies quickly.
