What's new

Australia beat New Zealand by 4 wickets in 2nd ODI

Usman Khawaja walking to the crease, WOW gives me shivers down the spine...... Here we go, Inshallah he does really well..

Australia's odds of victory are directly correlated with the number of Finch's playing.

1 Finch - Win probability of 0.75 (even Finch's greatness cant fully counteract the home track bullying hacks like Smith in the line-up)

0 Finch - Win probability of 0.

So expect NZ to demolish this batting line-up.

What is this series that is being played out between PNG and Ireland? Any tourney or just a bilateral? And where is it played?

Bangla fans shoe stringing a Bangla player or Bangladesh team into a totally unrelated discussion and turning into a Bangladesh thread.

Some things never change:misbah

There's no demons in this pitch.

Our batsmen played as if there was something there lol

Well short by 50 runs.

Hopefully the next wicket will have something in it.

No point playing into the Aussies hands by preparing lifeless tracks.

LOL typical Pakistani innings. Get to 50 - then get out. Only difference is he didn't take his helmet off at 50 as well :uakmal

This is what makes the PSL a refreshing change from the bowlers being hammered all round the world. Finally, they can give it back.

If bowlers have an advantage, it will become boring soon as well. You need a balance which isn't there anywhere.

In PSL, batsmen miss out on a lot of scoring shots to be honest.

There is low quality batsmanship there.

Yesterday night, I noted at least 10-15 deliveries in an innings that international batsmen would cut for 4 or take doubles but all of them ended up as dots.

So a team is dependent on foreign players to score and if they struggle, then it becomes problematic.

However pitches have been on tougher side in PSL.

Turning into a one hell of a game.

Milne is a freak of an athlete.

I hope NZ lose only and only because of Ian Smith. Hate him, hate his voice, hate his commentary. Hate his bias. Hate his gasps, hate his whining and so forth..

Dude was just sympathizing with Matthew Wade for that incredible catch and then rips in to him moments later.

Santner turning into a star.

If he can produce results in NZ pitches, he can do way better on SC pitches.

Come on kiwis, don't tell me Mitchell marsh is gonna win the game for Aus, get him out already

Actually winning is pretty straight forward.

Tap around and take singles.

Job done.

But Kiwis ain't lulloos like us that they won't try to get wickets.

So 50-50 game but if Marsh gets out, its 80-20 in NZ favour.

i love ur posts so much. i almost never agree but i have to admit they are interesting.

So kiwis are lulloos too :maqsood

Oh that one?

Kiwis go for wickets cos you will go for runs on these tracks anyways.

What they did last game is something we could never do.

So yeah their pacers are way better than us.

And yeah...Kiwis did look like lulloos when facing Aus in Aus (recent test series).

But in NZ, they seem to do much better.

A strong lower order always keeps you in the game.

Its not yet over.

50 runs is still lots to score with 6 wickets down but this is why Aussies do so well in current ODI.

Even after a horrible collapse they have firepower to continue.

This match was won by austrailian bowlers, had the kiwis scored 40-50 runs more then even this lower order wouldn't have saved the Aussies, 280 is a below par score, 280 is like 220 in the 90s

That is true too but they ain't winning it if not for their depth.

We lost 0-4 in the NZ series cos we had no lower order game.

NZ scored similarly against us too in NZ in 2014.

Of course he is, one match doesn't make him useful
somebody who can bowl with decent pace and bats at no. 5 or 6 with significant technique and can hit the ball long is not useless bro I think you haven't seen his innings in Zimbabwe its just injuries took toll on his body

The value of a bowler who can bat.

This is why Amir needs to work on his batting. It's a must for all ODI teams to have capable lower order batsmen( no 8 and 9)

Marsh is an excellent player and not just because of today. He is an excellent fourth bowler and his batting seems to be getting better. I wish we had an all rounder like him and not Anwar Ali.

Aus gave NZ taste of their own medicine :)) They could have easily won but hats off to Marsh and Hastings.

I have seen enough of marsh, 40 isn't a great average considering he bats in the lower order and has many not outs, also he bats on Australian pattas,he is bits and pieces player, useless was a bit of an exaggeration but I am not a fan

This "bowler" Hastings is a much better batsman than our fake allrounder Anwar.

Not being a fan does not mean someone is a bits and pieces player. He regularly picks up wickets for Australia and provides great support for the strike bowlers. Nothing bits and pieces about that.

Anwar Ali is a disgrace. I will be honest that we wouldn't be mocking Indian trundlers when a bowler like him is playing for Pakistan
