What's new

Australia beat West Indies by 6 wickets in the Tri-Nation Series

Australia to win it easily

I'm not so sure.
Warner, Finch, Marsh will probably struggle a lot against spin.
On the other side, I really don't rate Lyon as an LOI spinner. Zampa, well he is young so we will see what he does.

If it turns which it most probably will then Australia will struggle as well.

"Guineas from Providence tell me what to do and something maybe happened to em" Whenever I see the word Providence I think of that

Greatest ODI bowler of all time back in action.

Windies to win comfortably and PPs darling Starc to struggle big time!

Starc back in action. Hopefully Zampa gets a go looked good in his international career so far. Think west indies may struggle against him.

If Aussies bat first.

Australia 205/10 beat WI 152/10

If WI bat first,

Australia 173/5 beat WI 172/10

Be interested to see if Lyon plays. Also Steve Smith said yesterday best time to bat on this pitch is when the ball is new. Can see Warner and Finch going hard early unlike de kock and Amla on Friday who were more defensive at the start. West indies openers need to play better than they did on Friday. Yes they didn't lose there wickets but there was hardly any strike rotation. If south Africa made a higher score they would have been under a lot more pressure

These carrabien hacks have no chance against starc if he keeps bowling like this

Starc is back!!! What a shame that every Tom, dick and Fizz was compared to him during his absence.

Awful delivery yet he picks up a wicket. Those yorkers from Starc look deadly

Hazelwood line and length looking good. West indies may look to target maxwell and Zampa

So good to see starc bowling fast he is a real fast bowler.he is scaring windies

The way Starc is bowling you think something is going to happen every delivery.

Andre Fletcher ODI average after 19 inns - 14.

Johnson Charles after 28 inns - 20.

Evin Lewis ignored despite having an impressive domestic one day season. Kraigg Brathwaite has a List A average of 40 yet hasn't played a single ODI.

West indies tentative against the new ball can't see Australia being this defensive

Jesus Christ.

They should have a top edge count for WI innings in this tournament like that sixes count in the World T20.

Go on Darren, show them how to bat.

Wow that's an absolute joke. Don't know what west indies selectors are playing at

They are bound to , there batting has been brittle for long . Its a fifty over game , you need to be cautious. If they can get a resonable total , they can make a match out of it , with two spinners.

True but I think they should target against Hazelwood a bit more he's bowling a good length which can be hit. They don't look convincing against Starc

Agreed he's a decent play in tests and odis. They don't have many who are affective in both

Others also need to adjust , try and bat fifty overs , that would at least give something for the spinners to bowl at.

Hope Bravo develops well. Nice to watch in full flow and West indies need a batsman like him for tests and odis

Samules is a decent player. They just need to bat around bravo. He just played a brilliant cover drive off starc

Lol he should've dominating the world this time given by his talent. He debuted in 2009, but still an average batsman. I think he lacks motives and also have bit of temperamental issues. Still like him though :afridi

Averages 41 in test. He's a decent player compared to there t20 hacks.

Marsh is a much better option than Faulkner in the long run

Not at all in ODIs. In Tests play Marsh. In ODIs play Faulkner. In T20s play both. Tbh you should play both in ODIs too. I liked the format Australia had in the world cup. 2 batting all rounders (Marsh and Maxwell) one bowling all rounder (Faulkner) and 3 regular bowlers.

Nah. In ODIs remove Faulkner in the long run.

We'll need a specialist spinner for the next world cup and Starc/Hazlewood/actual genuine third paceman
is the way to go

Marsh is better in any format. Once his batting clicks, he will take the world by surprise.

The umpire being put under a lot of pressure here with a number of very tight appeals.

Charles very lucky till to be out there.

Australia in 2019 world cup

Warner
Khawaja
Smith
Bailey?
Maxwell
Marsh
Keeper (dont think Australia has a great keeper batsman)
Starc
Hazlewood
Zampa
Third seamer

Maybe Faulkner can replace Zamoa for more depth in batting
