What's new

Australia thrash India by 333 runs to win 1st Test within 3 days

Flat ones.We can outbat them on pattas

Exactly right! That should be the ploy! Except Smith (and to some extent Warner), they are not harmful. You will see that this Australian team is more or less same as England on flat (Indian) pitches.

An accurate left armer is always the most dangerous weapon on rank turners
More so than leg spinners and offies .
Said it in the england series when the pitches were not even as helpful .

Rahane gets out to O Keefe.

Please explain this dismissal and tell me what's brilliant about this ball and how Rahane got outwitted.

I want to know.

He is not good against spin, therefore he is playing always with a confused mind - never on top of the game. Often it ends like a wrong choice of shot.

The question you are asking, I'll answer with a counter question - everyone can see conventional out swing & it won't hit the stick if you leave it - still from Bradman to Martin, highest number of wickets has gone down to batsmen kissing the out swing.

O'keefe averages 24 with the ball in a country that is known as graveyard for spinners, where so called legends like Yasir Shah and Ashwin have been humiliated time and time again.

Lets wait till the series is finished, wouldnt surprise me one bit of Okeefe gets totally smashed next test match........

All this whining about pitches, you would have thought it's India and not Australia who are playing away from home.

Ashwin picked up a 4fer in a tour game in Aus in 2011.

Jayant Yadav averaged low 20s in Aus during A tour.

See a pattern?

Apples and oranges. Playing Aus in Aus in tests is a totally different situation than playing some domestics teams in Aus.

With that being said, O keefe would have bowled to better bats in domestics (cos tour game teams ain't all that great). Just bringing in a sense of perspective.

It doesn't matter if they go on to lose, this would never happen to Aus at home

Rahane out, India 4 down.

A 3 day loss at home.

cmmon this match they outplayed us....but what about australia record in last 10 years in india and india 10 years record in australia.....they always have won the toss in india yet they always get whitewashed here.....this one is an eye opener for us though...but we will still win this series

There will ALWAYS be an asterisk on Ashwin's numbers.

Who is whining about pitches? We r laying in to the indian team performance but u r looking into the pitch

Another for SOK :)))

This is epic :))) :)))

10fer for SOK, he has the MOTM locked down.

We need a damn SOK smiley ASAP.

Going to troll Indians with it for the next decade.

O'Keefe giving India a bit of their own medicine here.

Classic spin bowling.

I would love to see younis khan play on such pitches .
He is definitely a better player of spin than the current indian lot though .
O keefe and lyon looked horrible in the UAE against sarfraz and company but than those pitches were flat af.

Guess its better to switch off now , can't believe the test wrapped up in 3 days

Okeefe dismisses bradman, man this is too much :))) :))). Gonna miss the rest of entertainment because of work

Younis would surely have done better than this mess.

Heck Australians batted better.

O'keefe is doing a fantastic thing - he is adjusting his release point with the turn of the wickets. This is 3rd wicket that he has got from non turner & every time he has released the ball from closer. When he is flighting & looping it for big turners, he is going across & releasing it probably from 6 to 9 inch wider; creating an angle & bringing the ball in, then the wicket is turning sharp.

One soultion I see for IND is to bring couple of lefties, otherwise he'll trouble right handers.

These batsmen are being tested by spin, second or third time in Subcontinent.
By Hearth and now SOK

Indian batsmen are Bradman on phattas and their spinners do the job well.
Give them a minefield or a green mamba, they look like chicken.

SIF, at least you were right about India doing better in the second innings :ashwin

Where's the turn? All I see are straight balls. This is not a turner. I don't believe it. :yk

O'Keefe is getting so many revolutions on the ball that instead of turning it square like MacGill or Murali, he's going all the way round to 360 degrees of spin and the batsmen are being totally bamboozled. :rahat

Still u dont blame our bowlers for such horrible bowling in both innings

I blame them.

But I am just saying ALL these dismissals would be dot balls against Aussies.

You can't blame one person for not earning double the salary cos the other person is an unemployed loafer.

Full, straight, bat behind pad....I don't even know where to start.

Its like blaming our spinners are useless cos Moeen Ali picked up 25 wickets in England at an average of 20. We can blame our bowlers but the reference point is wrong.

Sif without yadav in first innings we would have lost by an innings
