What's new

Australia v Pakistan | 1st Test | Brisbane | Dec 15-19, 2016 | Day 3

Because this is the easiest time of day to bat, they will score quickly now and declare so we start batting around the same time we did yesterday.

That makes it extremely important for us not to give them easy runs if we are to salvage some pride in this game other wise we batting under lights tonight cd very well end the game tonight.

He was terrified by the sheer venomous pace of Rahat at the other end and was still panicking when Amir ran in to bowl

He didnt want to face rahat in the next over. He chose getting out to getting annihilated.

Wow Amir's been gifted some wickets of late from nothing balls.

It's called bowling in tandem. The batsmen know they have no hope against a world class performer like Rahat so they try to survive as best they can and try to attack Amir. :rahat :amir

I think 3 wd make it just right. Common u expect this sort of stuff from the likes of Rahat.

Nah, even 3 doesn't seem enough.

Btw I can't stand Rahat. If you mean from the likes of Rahat fans. It's called Sarcasm.

I wonder whether he has any fans left here. If we don't dump him after this tour wd mean people at the helm of affairs in pcb including selectors ain't serious about Pakistan cricket.

I actually kind of liked him during the World Cup. But now....

At the ground the scoreboard trivia question was just "who made their debuts the last time these teams played a Test here?"

The answer was easy: Adam Gilchrist, Abdul Razzaq and Scott Muller.

But it's a horribly traumatic memory.

Because as we gathered at the stadium that morning we all learned that Malcolm Marshall had just died at 41, the greatest bowler the world has ever seen.

It was a truly terrible day.

Rahat is going to destroy the Aussies, they have no chance. :rahat

You will see new bowlers in WI tour.

If we can dismiss them for a lead of 400 you never know

I don't understand this Rahat. Have supported him for ages and bowling beautifully again but I can't forgive him for the first innings. He doesn't have a bowlingbrain and is too timid

Rahat did it deliberately because he's desperate to get the new cherry in his hand and tear the Aussie rabbits apart :rahat

Only things that will be exploding are the hopes and dreams of the Aussie batting order :rahat

So what's the situation Guys ?? Me at work :( can someone post the score and how we're doing ATM ??

Amir has bowled with great zip in this match. Still think he needs to bowl a touch fuller.

Australians will bat till tea and declare a few after overs after that to have a burst on Pakistani batting lineup in the night session.

A target of 450+ will be on their mind and they would go for an attack mode rather than being defensive due to the initial breakthroughs.

Gabba has a hunted history in that regard - the day Larwood won the Ashes at Gabba, Archie Jackson died from Tuberculosis a hour before the win in a local hospital, aged 23.

It's perfect for Australia if they were bowled out for 180 at the dinner break. Should manage at least 5 Pakistan wickets in the evening session.

Unless it rains for Day & half, PAK has lost this Test. Now, still why the bowlers are bowling at least a yard short of Gabba length - there shouldn't be any fear for being driven & "drain" boundary. They should have seen enough of Josh yesterday.
