Australia v Pakistan | 1st Test | Brisbane | Dec 15-19, 2016 | Day 5

Asad Shafiq reminds me of shaz619 when he would take his school exams. Looks to be in the zone but we all know the end result: F+

Hopefully the lad proves me wrong.

:)) This is so true about me as well lmao Shafiq is possessed at the moment so don't worry about his end grade :akhtar

I remember being up at 6 AM EST, watching the Edgbaston 2005 Test and getting a sinking feeling as Australia got closer to a similar target.

Interesting to be in the other position, and trying not to hope.

If only Rahat could bat, because we're really one ball away from losing.

Even if we lose, this may be one of our best test matches because how we've come back.

Yasir usually looks solid for 20 odd runs and gets out, hopefully it's not the case this time; need him to stay with shafiq

Pakistan chipping away at the total, 66 more required. Although a wicket here could change everything

Phenomenal effort by Pakistan, they've written themselves into the history books already.

Kia bath hai MashaAllah Pakistan doing very well . I think they believe in themself now.

Smith is doing poorly as captain , need more players in catching positions.
He crumbles under pressure, IMO he's not a very good captain.

A good captain must be able to keep calm when games get close.

Girti howi dewaar ko aek dhakka aur doooo being chanted in the stadium

Being so defensive so early was weird to see.

Relaaaaax everyoneeeeee... this match is just too tense.

Swann and Vaughan praising Pak. Marcus North disjointed

10 more runs to bring it down to below 50.

If you keep calm when games are close your own fans abuse you for not being aggressive like the Aussies :misbah

Stumping appeal...

About to crumble anytime now...

Asad is exposing Yasir too much - ideally it should be 4+2 balls.

Also, one trick missed by Asad is that, he is taking a single on 1st 2 balls & Aussies are closing on the fielders. If he stays for 5th & 6th ball, Aussies will close the fielders to block that single, which will give him chance for odd boundaries. This is a tactics, Imarn used against Aussies at Adelaide - Imarn & Akram probably hit 12-13 boundaries in last 2 balls of over, when Border closed the ring. Not sure, PAK players study the game on what & how a strategy worked......

Commentators clearly biased here. Any ball going past the bat they ask whether he has edged it lol

It's the first time in a Test Match that 3 50-plus partnerships have come for the 7th wicket and lower, in the 4th innings of a Test Match!
