I didnt watch Farhat's spell. What chances he created???
1. Inside edge that almost bowled Katich after beating him with the spin
2. A flying bat/pad off Katich into the leg slip (no one was there)
3. Nearly missing Watson's bat on the off a couple of times

It woud be good idea to start with a seamer and a spinner. Ajmal can block the runs from one end and Asif can go for the kill from the other.

Moyo should not overuse his bowlers like yesterday, orelse they will get tired, which as a result will give ausis a chance to score quick runs. I think this is where part-timers will also be a key.

Umm, one was an inside edge almost hit the stumps (Simon Katich) and one was i beleive almost an edge off shanes bat.
Danny boy,now I am missing you badly...... :( :(

I'm concerned about Ajmal after the marathon spell yesterday. I hope he is fine. He should be used effectively and wisely not abusively whole day like it was done yesterday.

Then why did he only bowl three overs?...... :13:

Yep a legspinner would have been very useful, specially one with Danish's talent. :danish

I can't believe I'm saying it but Damad looked quite good when he bowled. He deserves to be given a few more overs today.

We have to get them out before Tea or we will be struggling to chase them through out this Test match. Its a tall order considering yesterday's performance but it can be done.
:(

YEs, his FC record is not so bad! Best Figures i think were like 7-34. :13:

3 wickets a session is not too much to ask is it? If we held on to all the chances in the field (catches and run outs), we would have been just about 3 wickets per session yesterday.

I cant see pakistan getting 10 wickets on this flat pitch, but I can see our batsmen giving Australia 20 wickets .

Had we held on to all the chances that came our way, they would have been 7 down.

It is possible but we are a little thin in our resources :gul :danish

dude its nothing to do with our resources it just that we dont know how to catch the BALL :pissed:

Pakistan need at least 2 wickets, but ideally 3 or 4 in the first session to really get back in this match otherwise they will be just be fighting for survival for the next 3 days or so.

So the first session will be critical, and for me it will all depend on the tactics Pakistan use - they have to be aggressive and try to make things happen rather than just waiting for the Aussie batsman to make mistakes.

Does anyone think crowd attendance will be more on the 2nd day? It's Sunday there...although 60,000 for 1st day was cool.

First order of the day is to get the Night Watchman out ASAP. I don't want that guy to score a useful 30.

I totally forgot that there was a night watchman batting. Seems like one more hurdle :P

Its more like a 'bump' really considering what is yet to come: MJ Clarke, MJ North, BJ Haddin†, MG Johnson. They have a long long batting line up.

weve dropped all 3 top order bats so far so Pak need 40 wickets to win this test !

I'm sure we took just about as many in the 2nd NZ Test!

Two quick wickets and it will be fun.

The main threat is MJ Clerk...if we pick him up quickly, then I am pretty hopeful we'll get the remaining batsmen out relatively cheaply..

Hussey has looked like a million bucks so far, it will be very hard to knock him over

This maybe a flat wicket but I would like to see how Australia bowl, most likely with more pace, will be more attacking with bouncers, Lets see how our batters handle it , I hope they make bi scores but some how they feel list less

Yeah,I was picking one from the remaining batsmen.Hussey definately was looking very dangerous out there and especially his cover drives were immaculate.....

The best part of the 1st day was Watson's run out at 93. He was pissed and wanted to talk to Katich about the lapse in judgment, but Katich was pissed at himself for getting out on 98. He didn't talk to anyone for an hour after returning to the pavillion.... :yk

I hope :inti :younis teach :moyo the difference between a night watchman and a top order batsman :inzi

I dont think Pakistan had the firepower to exploit this pitch. Its easy to call it a flat pitch but I thought the Pakistan bowling was reasonable but it was a bit pedestrian. Asif bowled a good line but didnt really attack. I thought the only bowler who attacked was Ajmal. Ameer didnt really bother the batsmen, needs a good slower ball or something to mix it up a bit. A good bowler but still raw.

I expect a lot more from the Aussie bowlers, I expect thenm to try everything, and I expect one of them will find something in this pitch.

As promised, here is the gif of eventful and shocking run out :D

Watson's run out has already cemented its spot as the best part of the whole series, not even a Kaneria double century consisting entirely of inside edges to fine leg has a hope in hell of beating that.

Hell, the run out might be the highlight of the entire year

That sure was an amazing run out. I think Watson knew he was out, but he still refused to leave hoping it would be Katich.

The 2 talking about how many overs the spinner had to bowl on the 1st day of a test match - 32 overs by Ajmal for 102 runs and no wicket!

If we had a pace of Shoab Akhatar from the other side, Asif would have been more successful. Well may Aamir can do it

I'm not watching the game. So, get ready for a number of foolish questions by me. :D

Phir na kehna ley ye kia pooch raha hai. ;-)

Oh my just showed the 3 dropped chances as I had seen the first 2 live myself last night

Didnt see the 3rd one until now looked a bit tough but didnt show it slow motion!
