Aus win by 170 runs. Good effort by Pakistan first up though, they were competitive.

Catches win matches, the margin of victory is close to the total of runs scored by our openers on the first day after being dropped.
Australia are definately beatable but not by our C team...I think they are better in ODIs then tests... I would say any of the top teams like India,SA,Eng would be hard to beat by this Aussie team..

We are ranked about where we should be - 3rd or 4th in the world.

That's just asking for a collapse. We'd be 3 for 32 every time we batted. YK and Umar would be batting at this stage.

Oh i think not. Nazir was looking good in QEA getting 50s. Something which Butt and Farhat can only do on flat tracks against average bowling at a strike rate of 2.
A nice fluid start is also needed in tests. Nazir and Afridi will know they have all the time in the world to smash it if they want. Afridi has matured a lot and a return to tests will only boost not only his confidence, but his chances of captaincy. To do that, all he needs are consistent high scores played with fluidity.

I'm sure Nazir will know he has to click to get a good run in all formats.

Misbah also made 258 in domestic cricket, two weeks ago. International cricket is 10x more fierce and competitive.

Yeh, so? He's, what, 35? Or really 38. Nazir is younger and has plenty of time to develop if stupid Butt actually hires a batting coach who'll travel with the team.

A batting coach won't make much difference during a tour, players need to work on technique between international series.

and for long too, as I said money talks BS walks:) ICC(Indian Cricket Council) is moving to India too. Enjoy life while 2/3 of your population is starving.
it is out of topic but only for u.
indian ppl under poverty line are 27%. (survey by planning comision of india)
with HDI of 75%
so we are impovimg and also if india keeps its current growth rate till 2020 we will surpass usa
but i accept that we are among poor countries.
1 strong reason for that is we spend our 40% of income on pak border.
pak have 23% of poor ppl with HDI (humman devlopment index) of 65%
and every day 20- 40 ppl dying in bomb blast

To prove that domestic hits don't really prove much. You really believe in Nazir? He's a slogger, dude. Only useful in T20s, not much in tests. He doesn't have a place.

ITs very dissapointing effort by pakistan. my hope were really very high and i thought we could do it. 90 overs and only 250runs required and we didnt even put up a fight which hurts the most. so we saw another collapse. 170-3 and 250 all out. GREAT BAttING BOYs.

now its about time we need to make some serious changes and i dont care if you have to call players from PAKISTAN cuz with the same team and same batting line up we cant win this series and not a single test so we need YOUNIS-AFRIDI and RAzZAK there along with either GUL or SAMI and Kaneria

drop farhat-misbah-rauf-faisal. if we got afridi in there then either play ajmal or kaneria

Sorry, i do actually mean a proper batting coach. He'll work with them all the time.
Anyway it's still important to have one during a tour. If you find a player is having trouble playing a certain delivery, you can't exactly sort it out over the phone.

I know he's a slogger, but he has great hand-eye co-ordination. He can only improve at test level. But as I said before, there needs to be a batting coach who can teach him to hit a 6 going by the text book, and teach other strokes of course.
