Pakistan need 221 to win.

Unlikely to chase this. I predict a batting collapse and Pakistan to be bowled out for 160-170.

You heard it here first.

Asad Technique will guide us through to victory. lahoriyah1234

Let's hope it doesn't even come to him. I expect he will get bogged down even with this low total and put inncecessary pressure on everyone else

Key here will be not to panic and bat out 50 overs. Pitch is not conducive to forcing the pace or else wickets will fall

If we win, we will probably be 8-9 wickets down doing it. Any other proffessional team would knock this score down with 5 wickets to spare.

Not pack. Still expecting a 180 ao

This is their best bowling attack though. Hazlewood could trouble us

If they give us pace - I think we will score at a good rate.

It is Maxwell, Faulkner and Smith's bowling that I am more worried about.

Pakistan need some self belief. These are kind of situations that our batsmen fear most. How not to lose from a winnable situation

Azhar would have been perfect for chasing todays score , thats the score where azhar is useful.

Naa you should be worried about starc and hazlewood. The likes of Malik will play maxwell and Faulkner well.

Last time pakistan won odi against Australia in Australia was in 2005 at Perth.

Mohammad Yousaf and Razzaq chased 260+.

will today be the first win in over a decade?

Love seeing Smith drop catches :)))

He took two stunners against us and we never heard the end of it.

We have serious problems if we fail to win this one. Got them around 50 runs cheaper than last time, so less pressure of a big score(by our standards)to chase.

No excuses this one should be in the bag. I wouldn't bet on it though as it is Pak!

Need a quickfire 50 at the top

If we win this I consider it an upset considering we have 3-4 hacks in the team

I'm amazed at Hafeez's ability to find the slips regardless of pitch conditions.

what's funnier? Hafeez constantly edging to slips? or Smith constantly dropping catches in slips?
:91::91::91:

Looks like both batsmen want to finish this in 30 overs

If I was Starc - I would be really ticked off at Smith!!

Our batsmen look like they will be all out for 30 at this rate... they only need to chase 220, why is Sharjeel first ball trying to smack it like we're chasing 400.

Hafeez will last two balls if Hazlewood finds his range. Wish Azhar and Sarfraz played, would have been a cakewalk!

MoHa is in terrific batting form - terrifying for PAK No. 3 ..............

Hazelwood is the kind of bowler who will find Hafeez out after a ball or two. He already seems to have figured out what Sharjeel is struggling with.

At least rotate the strike man, you'll whittle down the amount of runs you need to chase.

Wow Mitch Marsh got a golden today, man he cannot catch a break :)))

The worry is that not only do they have to see this opening spell out, there's the concern that they get themselves into a hole and then get out when trying to slog their way out.

AUS attack is like a bit their batting - if things click, they'll roll teams out; but key is early wicket, otherwise they often struggle.

Superb shot from Sharjeel. Follows it up with 2. Where are those guys saying he can't play through the off side. Lol. Pakistani fans

Leaving aside the hitting aspect, singles rotation is another aspect of our game that is seriously way behind the other teams. Australia had just 1 boundary in the first 5 overs yet they were going at 6 RPO. We just look for fours and if we can't get them then it's a block. Mohammad Yousuf was a master of the rotation of strike. Ironic that a 90's player is more suited to our team right now than our current players.

Pakistani fans getting excited, man this brings back memories.
Don't let us down boys
