Second Test between Australia (445 & 89/7d) and India (260 & 8/0) ends in a draw as the 5-match series is level 1-1

Most likely India may be 50/3 kind of situation is playing lots of shots.

If India is clever they need to identify the white ball players and promote them on top like Rohit & Nitish Reddy.

Maybe move likes of KL & Kohli down the order if they need defending later.

But yeah its too much of a risk and probably will shut the shop.
 
India would be foolish to go for the win. Just make sure Australia bowls as many overs as possible.

Then we have folks here who says the standards of test cricket has gone down. Tell me in the past any team used to take this kind of risk in test cricket back in the days?
 
Why can't Kl Rahul take strike and not expose Jaiswal everytime to Starc?
 
Don't give more than 2 wickets in first 15 overs after that starc and Cummins will not bowl much overs and they are one bowler short .
 
There is captain Cummins who is doing everything - batting, bowling long spells.

Then there is captain Sharma

Don't think they will go after it even if they are two bowlers down. You could committ hararkiri and lose it. India would have fancied only if it were to be under 200. So Australia ideally should have declared with 220 runs to get.

Rohit's poor captaincy is one of the main reason for Head to have that kind of record against us in all formats.

Most captains do these days - Stokes, Rohit all have done it.

That is why modern day test cricket is better than in the past where the mindset was playing for boring draws

275 runs in just 55 over( Which was highly unlikely due to weather anyway) is not smart declaration .lol

Cummins did blunder when they resume the batting start of day 3 instead declared overnight score.

89/7 look real ugly scorecard. I don't buy it that they lost wickets because of they wanted to push for win. They started normally. Moment there was a collapse they thought.. why not ? and changed their approach.
 
A couple of journalists have already tweeted about a "big announcement". Now we're not here to make any assumptions but they did just show Kohli and Ashwin having a chat sitting next each other and it ended with Kohli giving Ashwin a hug. They continue to sit next each other and stare at the rain, Kohli even had his arms around Ashwin's shoulder. Make of that what you will, nothing more than wild speculation.

wow.. One bad series he is retiring? That is pretty bad. Sundar has not even properly taken over the reins. I know he is 38. But could have waited till the series is over.

What! This is disastrous for me. I've never wished for the best players of an opposition team to miss playing against us. It's simply not me.
 
The way we decimated Australias intentions of attacking us today showed everyone that this Indian team is never going to back down.

We might have even won this if we hot 60 overs :inti
 
This TNT Sports is waste of a channel. Dosen't show toss, don't show post match presentation...nothing. Once the final ball is done, they cut the stream.

I said most teams. West Indies win was an outlier. Pink ball test can be a lottery when you have good groupd of fast bowlers. Windies had good fast bowlers. It bridged the gap. But generally it is tough to be in this position after 3 tests in Australia. Not many teams have done that.
 
Rain saved Australia from a possible defeat at the hands of Bharatiyas.

Anyway let’s win at MCG, SCG now.

This has to be on eof the worst middle order for India in a long time lol Yet we are 1-1. Creditable. India just raises their game. someone or the other.

This is why Virat was better test captain than clueless Rohit .

Than you need to re-watch the 2021 gabba test .

India was on the way to Chase this target but rain has saved Australia for another Humiliation.

Australia has not won any non pink ball test since Perth 2018 test against india in australia .
