Pakistan doing a fine job of attempting to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
 
Why oh why didnt Kami instinctively follow through and hit the stumps!!!

Looks like Aus could well bat out this match; Kaneria needs to strategise and be patient like Asif. Warne is right!

Sami should bowl a spell with Gul straight after the break.
 
It was expected that Australian batsmen would apply themselves a lot more than the first innings.

Stick to the basics, and keep at it, inshallah we should get 2 or 3 wickets before they get rid of that lead.

i doubt that will happen. If Ricky even gets a sniff of an adequate lead, he will put Pakistan to bat again
 
well aussies batted pretty well. danish should have held that catch, but danish K is looked rusty.

yep, batting half a day today was on card at tea yesterday. Misbah and Kamran should learn how Oz are fighting and not throwing away their wkts. On top of that our fielding is a gift for the oppositions.

watson was outside the crease (running) Kamran was hoping for a direct hit, when it didn't hit...he didn't break the stumps...there was some time :(
 
Asif will get the first wicket...bet everything, and it will be his 3rd over in the next session ;)
 
Akmal and Misbah better hit the winning runs in this game to make up for their continuing blunders.

I agree. We need to have patience. Aussies are under pressure. They will make mistakes. Pitch has eased for batting but still have bounce. DK is settling in well.

Once we get a wicket or two it will be game on.

Farhat and Butt have cemented their place for the next series already by scoring a half century each, yeah that's how easy it is to satisfy the PCB selectors

Aussies have another win in the bag. None of the bowlers have looked threatening, when they did they released all the pressure with a poor follow-up delivery. I can't see us scoring more than 150 on a 5th day wicket and by that time the Oz will have a lead of 200+. I'm off to bed, not worth watching this morning.

Why are you guys panicking? We're still 150+ runs behind before you have to bat again.

You have been around PP for long OG. You must know how it is after a bad session of play.
 
Yousuf had 204 lead and set an extremely defensive field, with fielders on the boundary etc.
Is it too much to expect some aggressive creative captaincy from this chap?

A few missed chances, but overall consistent good bowling. Huges seems to have a bit of confidants now so it will be interesting to see what he does. I think Twatson has used up all his lives now, so next time will be out.

If he gets out afta scoring a 90 instead of a single digit score, his job is 80 percent done i must observe.

For the PPer's giving up already, did you really think you would roll us for 120 twice?

So 120 behind now, Pakistan still way in front.

AUSTRALIA

They aren't like us, who give up after losing one wicket. They will fight till the end, even if they trail by 1000.

I'll be very surprised if Aus don't lose 2-4 wickets in next session. I'm sure they'll come out with the pitch reassessed and different plans.

We just dont have anything to show for our fights :(

Asif is the only hope .. Kaneria is bowling garbage with defensive field


kaneria dropped Twatson on 28 or something ..... i m so disgusted by pak bowlers .. no aggressiveness at all :pissed:

Pak is in front. Aus need 550 to win, with a good run rate though.
 
People need to calm down, and lower their expectations.....

Have some faith chaps. Why does everyone think we will get rolled over SO easily in the 2nd innings? I doubt the pitch will ever get that bad so as long as the batsman play with the same determination it will be close no matter what. Keep the heads up, cross your fingers for some luck, and hopefully aussies won't cross 400. We can easily chase something around 200. We can bash MoYo's lack of innovation, but he will definitely lead from the front with the bat. He practically got a run-a-ball 50 and was PISSED about that. A part of me is hoping aussies get a big score so we can really have to apply ourselves to win. Imagine how good that would taste...

Sorry, I meant Pak would have re assessed the pitch and will come out with different plans.

I have faith in Waqar. He'll pump up the team. Just watch and see. Still a loong ways to go for Aus. I think they still need another 350 runs minimum to feel anywhere safe.

1. If we couldnt chase 140 against sri lanka , i dont have much hope with a 200 runs 4th innings target....
2. The best thing for us is to win without exerting at all.
Application and skill are for the Caucasians. For us its just raw talent and miracle spells with the bat and ball..
