I disagree, I think Steyn is the change up, actually more aggressive rather than metronomical.IronMan2009 said:That is their weakness. lack of variation. They will bowl odd bouncers. But generally they bowl same types of deliveries over and over and over.

Jamal said:Does Ian Healy know what he's talking about? Bad batsman, but he always gives advice.
IronMan2009 said:I predict AUstralia will get to 270 for 5 at the end of the day.
Thats good enough on this pitch. even with the pathetic aussie attack, saf wont be able to score that much. Kreza will be a handful.IronMan2009 said:I predict AUstralia will get to 270 for 5 at the end of the day.
IronMan2009 said:I remember some people saying by the end of the year 2008 Ponting would catch Tendulkar in terms of number of centuries . I think he might catch Danny Morrison at this rate
Random Aussie said:Not 2008 but he is a chance to do it in 2009 - we play 12 Tests minimum. Would need to find some form before that though.
Sadly with our team going downhill I don't think Ponting will overtake the nation of India in Test wins though. He was 6 or so behind last time I looked.

"Back in the day my school was all white. I went back to the school afterwards and it was 80% black, but no worries, they still make good sportsmen"

The Fremantle Doctor, or 'The Freo Doctor' is the Western Australian vernacular term for the cooling afternoon sea breeze which occurs during summer months in coastal areas of Western Australia. The sea breeze occurs because of the major temperature difference between the land and sea
Apart from Richie Benaud, Chappell, and Mark Nicholas; I find most of the Aussie commentators biased.Random Aussie said:Healy is an uber lame commentator, he is our version of Gavaskar - biased and stupid.

Random Aussie said:Yes they are. They are commenting for an Australian audience on channel 9. But Healy is the most obviously and annoyingly biased one.
Mark Nicholas is biased towards whoever is paying him at the time, he was grovelling at the foot of Indian magnificence in the BG trophy then back to worshipping Australia in the NZ series.
diondublin said:I'm disappointed theirs no South African representation in the commentary box this year. We need someone to keep Slater and Healy under control. Ian Chappel is the least biased IMO.

Supersport (i.e. Saffers) took over their own commentary team. The guys like Kepler Wessels, Robin Jackman, Brett Proctor and that ex-Zim cricketer ... uhm ... we just call him Pommie.diondublin said:I'm disappointed theirs no South African representation in the commentary box this year. Big Harvey said:I must say it's encouraging to see so many people turning out to support Test cricket. Although the ground's not completely full, this is an extremely good attendance for a weekday of a non-Ashes Test.

I remember the time at PP when Pak last time played a test at WACA, Gilly & Langer took game away from us for 6th wicket partnership
minhasuz said:You are right, many people have started to take interest in Test Cricket even though if it is not Pak-Ind or Ashes etc
diondublin said:Australia generally have good test crowds regardless of opponent. MCG will be full on boxing day.

Big Harvey said:There's been lots of doom and gloom surrounding Test cricket recently, but crowds in Australia seem to be holding up nicely. In New Zealand, where Test crowds have been pathetic for years, they actually seem to be on the increase. For England's visit this year, they even had to close the gates at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on the Saturday, and that's something that hasn't happened for many years.
I'm sure that if the BCCI was to sort out its ticketing policy, there would be much better crowds in India than we've seen of late, too.
Ian Chappel is probably my favorite commentator. He provides an analysis of the match situation and does well to include analogies and paradigms of past events relevant to current happenings.diondublin said:I'm disappointed theirs no South African representation in the commentary box this year.
