SA are pretty much gone now.

I admire JAF's courage, he's stuck with his team throughout

Nope. It is the same as any sportsfan. Hoping for the best and not giving up till the end. You support your teams through thick and thin.

Some of you are here just to support cricket and that is what is more important.

Spin bowling options and good use of reverse swing the difference between the two teams.

its been a good game, Australia have done very wel to fight back after SA's awesome start. Deserved winners imo

Agree! Defining moment was difference in the field. A certain runout.

Bowled him all over. Bracken yorks Ntini and Australia win by 83 runs!

still well played by SA. It cannot be easy to chase such a big score and any lapse in momemtum is costly. They were in the game when Smith was there and he didn't look like getting out. When he left SA required around 7.6 an over and when he came back it was around 12 an over

Nitini bowled by Bracken

SA all out 294. Aus win by 83 runs

Special presentation to Gibbs and Haydos. They get something from the PM.

I would've liked to watch us win.

I didn't get to see us win either as I had to step out. Looks like Hogster was crucial though.

Anyone seen Saffer? At least JAF stuck around to the bitter end, credit to him. :P

That's what I heard. I am waiting to download highlights so I can watch what he did.
I woke up when they were about 4/260 and watched the rest.
I missed about 30 overs. I heard that Watto ran De Villiers out on an awesome throw.

Yep. Saffer has hid. That's why I bumped all those threads. He was talking so much about how they will smash us and we beat him.
Come out come out wherever you are!

SA were doing really well when I went out to grab lunch but I felt if we could break that deVilliers/Smith partnership we were in with a shot. I was surprised that Kallis came out before Gibbs though, I thought the game was tailor-made for Gibbs.

Our minnow attack took a pasting at first but they were able to come back and get some stops.

Where you downloading highlights from?

Shame about Smiffy cramping up. Haydunce played on to get 181 with a broken toe in NZ though.

Back to the thread, did anyone think that Smiffy made the wrong decision in fielding first?
