Big (tough) call by Australia to leave out Shaun Marsh for Khawaja, but I suspect the Aussies around here will be pleased. :farhat

The only question regarding this match is: Can WI take this to Day 4?

Bill Lawry.

Love the guy but its not enough to get me interested in this mismatch.

Test cricket in Australia must be terribly boring to watch.

Australia are too good at home for any team. Dont know why WI are being singled out.

West indies dont hv somebody like boult to charge in at 128kph all day and make it an even contest:mv

Fill your boots time for Aussie batsmen once again against a pathetic W.I bowling line up which has no discipline, this will be another 3/4 day romp for the aussies.

Wonderful stuff from Steven Smith; probably the best batsman in the World right now alongside Kane Williamson.

Burns : 128

Khawja : 144

Smith 134

Vouges : 106

WI really :133: here , four batsmen getting hundreds.

honestly is anyone even watching this?

Siddle seems to have gained a few ks in speed. Good to see, he's too young to be written off for good.

Another 3 dayer.

I wonder if CA will ask Smith to not enforce the follow on so the match can go to the 4th day.

Disgusting. These pitched are a disgrace to Test cricket, let alone cricket.

How is the pitch at fault when the friggin Windies can't even bat on a flat pitch. Anything sporting and they'd fold for 50 and CA knows that.

WI showing some fight finally here . three ducks in there innings really hurt them.

From 6/90 in 40 overs, WI has played over 100 overs, impressive. I don't understand why they are so inconsistent - it's not about new ball either, because last 3 wickets played 20 new ball overs.

They have couple of young players who can play. They're just missing confidence and a leader, backed by a strong board.

The three ducks of Samuels , Ramdin , Holder hurt them , otherwise some contributions from them they should have got close to 400 here

Shocking innings and again Burns shows why he won't be a test standard opening batsman

The game going into day 4 is an achievement in itself for the Windies. Let's see if they can push it to day 5.

Overnight declaration. 460 to win.
Apparently Hazlewood just bowled a ball at 164.2kph. There goes Starc's record. :sree

Aussie speedguns.

Starc did bowl 160.
It was not a speed gun error.
I came to this conclusion after going through his other spells and the 160 kph ball definitely seemed faster than his his 145-150 kph deliveries

Sh!t I actually I think I should delete that post. If it somehow comes true I can get in some serious trouble if pakpassion turns me into icc with fbi, csi, isi, moussad, raw all coming after me.

Well, officially it wasn't a speed gun error, so I guess Starc's will stay in the records.

This one from Hazlewood was already clarified to be a mistake... obviously. :29:

Don't worry.

Smith should've have gone for the second ton in the match, he surely wasn't afraid that WI would be able to bat the game if he played for an hour on day 4 ?

No but as we saw in how he declared early when Voges was on 269, Smith likes to save the last 2 days to go play golf.

Oh man, I almost forgot. Thanks for the reminder. :yk

Dayumn, how can I get that hairdo?:irfan.

Seriously, with all that bcci money, cant he get a decent set of hair given that he is a public figure and has to look presenteable:afridi

Mitch marsh bowling quick here
And we hv posters like zabalestmsm who think that Hammad 'typhoon' Azam can be our answer to him

It's natural, bro. Either you have it or you don't.

I watched that spell live, he didn't get one past 155 and randomly bowled one at 160kph.

Taylor played it with ease too.

In the same Test, Tim Southee was clocked at 150 kph.

I've never seen him bowl anywhere near that in ODI's before, yet he was somehow able to do it in a Test.

WI have fought well here, they might even take it to the 5th day.

It really bothers you that Starc bowled a ball @ 160kmh. Its history now, nobody cares.
