Well maybe not a double ton :D ..but anything to get us past 270. That would be good enough.

Wasnt that just a laughable post. Gangs out.

:(

Now even 200 will be enough.

the damage was done by the openers. 21st century cricket most pathetic opening batting display.

Indian batsmen have just blown it. Not everytime will the Aussies have a bad day and get bundled out for 343. Its only a matter of time before the 3-man bowling attack of India gets exposed for being one bowler short

Australian cricket don't miss any oppurtunity to sell something. Yesterday it was Hussey's picture and today it is test team photo

close LBW call against Harbhajan. Got Lawry excited. looked like hitting middle stump. Bowden the umpire

Enjoying ur vacations bro??

I have 2 months off. Yaay!! Now if only India could play well.

So, the Indians still did very well on the first day, didn't they? I had a feeling this would happen. India would probably get bundled out for 200 odd, and Australia will win by some 150 runs once again. All too predictable, and a har-har at the overreaction from some of our bharti friends yesterday.

what ever reaction was only to show that the indian bowling was not "destroyed" or bowlers were not "murdered" by the formidable australian batting line up as expected and forecast repeatedly by some pakistan friends!

Harbhajan hits one in the air and Clarke catch's it Hogg has 2 now

8/173

Zaheer Khan the new batsmen

never understood kumbl'e logic by including bhajju. this is Australia not india that u go wid 2spinners.

Only good session for batting was yesterday's first session. Both teams have struggled after lunch yesterday.

Kumble caught by Gilchrist of the bowling of Lee

9/193

Kumble out for 27

India all out for 196

Lee getting Zaheer Khan nicking it to gilly

Our bowling got us out of jail. I was reading ICF and they're moaning about the Kumble decision for some reason. Where were they when Ganguly and Harbhajan were given not out when they were out?

Not that I'm moaning btw - just get on with it and play the game.

Complete trash performance by our batsmen and some seriously dumb umpiring.

give it a rest. Husseys LBW yesterday was going over the stumps according to hawkeye. Gonna cry about that one?

good stuff from aus, though I would have liked a lead of 170 and above.

Well this test is over already! Dhoni shows he is a flat track bully! Well I think this is Australia's game!

This was Kumbles innings. He was gonna play the captains knock and get India a lead of 200. ARGH its that conspriacy theory again! They just dont want Kumble to outshine Ponting!

Going by what the conditions are and how the Indian batsmen have fared, Indian bowlers were in fact indeed murdered by the Aussies yesterday! Take everything into context; 150 runs lead is a huge one and this match is out of India's hands now.

Yeah, Kumble could have definitely inched India past 343 :)) .

I am disappointed in the Kumble decision...but whatever..u r supporting Aus.

Cool it. Both of the decisions were correct decisions. If anything India had bad decision yesterday against Johnson. Austrlalia did not get any bad decision.

*cough* Ganguly, Bhajji *cough*

Collapsing from 135/0 to 343 all out can be called murdered only in your biased books. Did you check the scores in Aus-Sl series? That was murder. When was the last time Aus scored less than 400 no matter what the conditions?

Agree though that a lead of 147 will be desicive

Welcome to the cricket my friend :)

LOL!!

India's top order has to fire in the second inning to DRAW the match as Aus can (and most likely will) set close to 500 to win.

Perhaps b/c he was NOT out. :10:

Didn't see too many people moaning about the Bhajji and Ganguly decisions - not that it worries me, the team was able to overcome it and move on. Just pointing out that sometimes people can be very one-eyed when it comes to poor decisions - they remember the ones against their team and forget the ones that go in favour of their team.

Not, actually it fair amount of errors on both sides.
so we should not complain about it.

So you decied to crawl out of the woodwork as soon as India started losing?

Context, context, context. They have a lead of 153 runs; I say a job very well done in the first innings while batting.

Yet another absurd little comment from the_indiahater.

I am gonna calm down in a few minutes..

Yes, a good job but still does not qualify as "murdering of a bowling attack"!

anyway lets focus on the rest of the game

It was response to a specific post. Taking that post and quoting as if i responded to you was more like mental thing.. :P

I think I should be allowed to rant and b**ch a little after a trash performance by my team. :D

But yeah u r right.

India can hope for rain to save them. India's random shuffling of batting order really cost them dear. India had a set batting line up. But they had to disturb it. They looked totally out of sorts. And dropping of pathan is another huge mistake.

india must get out AUssies out b4 200 to have any chance of winning.

Even then, there is no way in hell India is chasing 300 for a test win on this pitch. This match has gone out of India'a hands.

bro..i totally agree...cricket is like that.. but it does hurt lil bit man...Yuvi one was wrong and now Kumble one... OZ, you have a strongest ever cricket team...1 wrong decision doesnt matter to you but it does matter to any team playing Aussie... and somebody mentioned Hussey wasnt out...what the heck are you talking about... here is the clip..dont make random statements if you dont know about it..hawkeyes shows and even commentators said from hawkeyes that it clips the offstump

But isn't the point to build a team that can overcome all adversities? Control what you can control, rather than moaning about what you cannot.

In any case, it's still a tightly contested Test and both teams are in with a chance to win. Don't let the umpiring take precedence, that's all I'm saying.

Anyway, I'm travelling in Hong Kong at the moment and need to step out of a sec - I'll log back in later to find out if we were able to keep our wickets intact till stumps. GL all.

agree

Hayden's innings is the difference when you look at the lead. Jaffer made 4. Dravid made 5. Hayden made 126. Jaques made 77. Opening partnership was the only difference between the teams. Once again they are off to a good start.

S Clark is certainly turning in to a world class bowler. I didn't realize the guy was this good.

His bowling average is only 19. amazing :14:
