Malinga is goint to disappoint by giving his wicket away.
Sangakkara could have gotten 3 double centuries in 4 innings

Did Yuvraj get reported by the Match ref for his dissent yesterday?

Look at the difference in class - Sangakarra is 2 miles away from hitting hit, yet walks off without any reaction.

Rudi is a shmuck. I was enjoying Sanga's knock, Rudi had to ruin it. Brilliant innings by Sangakkara.

Exactly. You don't have to be a fan of SL or Sanga to appreciate that knock. Thoroughly enjoyable. And just ruined by a crap umpire.

Yes he was fined. Anyway for UV, he was in a situation where match could have been won so he was more disappointed

And then a follow up 6 off Mr Innocuous!!!

13 off 3 balls:)

Dissent is dissent - usually 'fuelled' by disappointment.

And he was rightly fined

http://content-ind.cricinfo.com/indvpak/content/current/story/321001.html

Yuvraj Singh has been fined 20% of his match fee for "showing dissent at an umpire's decision" during the final ODI between India and Pakistan in Jaipur.

Yuvraj was given out by umpire Suresh Shastri during India's chase, after he miscued a pull off Umar Gul to the keeper. However, instead of walking, an upset Yuvraj stood his ground, and indicated the ball had hit his shoulder and not his bat or glove. Replays suggested that the ball had hit his shoulder.

Though Yuvraj had been charged with "showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision", Roshan Mahanama, the ICC match referee, downgraded the charge to "showing dissent" after taking in to account the fact that Yuvraj, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, had apologised for any offence he may have caused and that it was his first appearance at a Code of Conduct hearing in eight years at the international level.

So first offence in 8 years, shouldnt be castigated for it IMO.

you mean that same match that was dead rubber? You don't think Sangakkara was looking forward to a double century against Australia in Australia?

Why did they take lunch? Don't they extend the session if the match is almost over?

Usually only applies when there are 9 wkts down and tea break is due

Also, they started 30 mins earlier - so it was a 2.5 hour session.

I think they did as the game started 2 hours 15 min before lunch. But I think it is for the captain to ask for it and today menu had Chiken Karhai

That's unfortunate. I'm sure Malinga and Murali would have gotten out any way, and the match would be over, but too bad Sanga couldn't get his double.

Malinga - now thats a 'Beast'. You wouldnt want to run into that in the middle of the night........

Another Malinga biggy for 6! 400 up - in the 4th inngs - and they will still lose!

I want Murali to get a chance too. He will surely hit a falling back pull shot

Clark being shown for the hugely overrated bowler he really is

:))) Damn, that sure would be scary.

Bowled him - Aus win the test match in association with 'Rudi Dismissals PVT LTD'

What a shame for Sri Lanka, to fall short by only 90 odd runs in the end. Their batsman must be kicking themselves, not to mention wanting to do the same to Rudi

and Sangakkara with Rudi after the loss

great display by lankans, in fact they COULD have won had rudi not acted stupidly and given sangakarra out.
