virat kohli is the fastest to 1000 runs in 29 inns
so,
BABAR AZAM has the opportunity to achieve this feat.
so far he has scored 810 runs in 21 inns at an avg of 57 strike rate 127.:ba

He needs 190 runs in 7 innings .

Its very much possible . The more he gets in next innings the easier it will get.

He had to score 95 runs in the next 3 matches to beat the record . If he gets it in the forth he will tie the record

on his way. surely he is the best t20 batsman in the world who plays according to situation.
rankings don't lie. :djb

Rare failure today. Now needs 88 in 2 innings. He'll need a 50 in the next innings

Babar Azam needed 88 runs in 2 games before today's t20. Scored 40 of those and needs 48 more in 1 innings. Would he be able to score 48 runs in next t20 to become the fastest to 1000 runs in t20s ?? I highly doubt.

Cannot help but think that the 1k milestone sitting in his head and effecting his strike rate

What a useless stat which is only good for someone's ego. He should be playing for the team. I have not seen the game but sounds like he was selfish with much lower SR than his avg.

Very useless record to be honest. Nobody really remembers who is the fastest to 1k T20 runs. Kohli has achieved a lot in cricket. Pretty sure being fastest to 1k T20 runs isn't what most people remember.

Fastest to 10k ODI runs. That was quite special considering he not only beat the record he absolutely killed it.

This is true won't argue that but if babar can achieve it or tie the record it's still a great achievement granted its not something most people would remember

He'll smash his way there in the next match no pressure, we've already won the series.

i think he will do it as pakistan already have won the series so he will look to bat whole 20 0vers or atleast 15 16 to achieve the milestone

Should be able to do this in 3rd T20I.

Wonder what the record is in terms of balls faced. That's probably more important in this format.

Good luck to little bobby tonight.

And he gets there 1000 runs in 26 innings great achievement, all the rest of our players have been so slow to 1000 T20I runs. This is great congratulations!

Congrats to Bobby. He did it.

Ahead of some very big names in cricket.

Great player. His batting may look little boring at times. But he is a typical match winner who plays according to situation. No doubt he will be the backbone of Pakistani batting for a long time.
Best wishes to him.

Certified ATG in T20s and soon to be great in ODIs. He has a beautiful hunger for runs..

Lovely stats. He's super consistent. It's almost as if he turns up and there's a mandatory 50 up for grabs!

That is quite a run to be honest. Most important FACT is that Pakistan has won most of these games when he scored runs.

Congratulations Babar Azam For Fastest To 1000 T20i Runs.

People Are So Ridiculous For Criticism You Need To Praise Him Much More Than Any Other Because Playing In Neutral Or Away Venue Where You Not Play Domestic Games And Make Runs Break Record's Such A Great Achievement In Young Age Salute To Babar Azam.

Keep It Up High...

He is a good T20 player but his Strike Rate needs improvement.

With an average of 50+, you can't have a Strike Rate under 125 in 20-20 format.

His strike rate is much better on Pakistani pitches.

No doubt he is a backbone of Pakistan batting currently and I am not criticising him here either, but I feel there is still room for improvement as far as his Strike Rate and hiting abilities are concerned.

If I remember, Rohit and Dhawan made batting look so easy when they went there to UAE during Asia Cup and batted at very high SR in ODI format of the game.

I will conclude on his SR on Pakistani pitches after good enough samples.

Of course, he can. He's the accumulator and the backbone of the lineup. Every team needs at least two, even in T20s.

Babar is good and on a roll. But sustaining this run of form in t20 is what is difficult. Many batsmen have been there and failed.

Good achievement, plays smartly at the top of the order. I would suggest he opens in the ODI format too.

Good record but let's not dwell on this for too long. What's more important is if he can carry on winning games for Pakistan in the long term.

Congrats, young man! BTW, I still believe Fakhar Zaman is the best LOI batsman in the Pak team. Babar plays a different role compared to Fakhar, and he has done well so far in his role. Needs to get serious and start performing in Tests soon.

Sucks our players aren't allowed in the IPL.

He'd easily be bought for more than a million.
