The only thing going in Naseem's favor is his age. Once that hype dies down people will stop overhyping him. He has always looked average to me.
 
Australia getting runs easily, they will soon put Pakistan under pressure. Smith and Labuschange will grind this attack to dust.

Fake age hype. He is as old as Shaheen, but PCB marketed him as some bowling version of Tendulkar who was Test class in 2016.

He was 16 in 2016, not 2019.

Warner treating Naseem like a kid, not taking his supposed sledging seriously; not sure if he even understood what Naseem said to him.
 
Even someone like sameen with 100+ wickets in FC is a better option than naseem. The art of picking wickets in test matches comes with experience. He needs to prove himself in FC first.
Naseem atm is a bowling machine. He doesnt move tje ball a cm and has got no plans whatsoever.
 
Australia can win this. If they score 550, watch Pakistan wilt in the third innings.
 
I wanna see Warner smack Naseem for a few for that cringe display in the last over.
 
Fans want a contest and this is very evident in the stadium. Surprisingly, Pakistani fans are very mature and they don’t really care if Pakistan wins or loses as long as they get a good contest and entertainment.

Some people on here are over analysing the game. Just enjoy the show guys. Cricket is finally returning to Pakistan and the contest has been pretty good so far - whoever wins should the least of your concern.
 
Cant really judge a player's form based on performances on such docile surfaces. Imam nd Azhar have already scored meaningless hundreds.

Embarrassing to watch Nauman play international cricket.

He is a 45 year old uncle with a fitness of someone who has a 9-5 desk job.
 
The way these two are batting, its worth giving a bowl to Azhar as well. Try something different

Superb attacking cricket by Australia. This is how a top team plays. Had it been Pakistan top order, we would go into a shell with 35/1 at this stage
 
Warne slowly getting it on here, it's dangerous for Pakistan. When in the form he can get Aussies to a winning position.
 
Pakistani bowler and captain are looking out of ideas already. The captain is following the ball and the batsmen keep towing with the field. Khawaja and Warner have every shot on the book for every tactic.

This is top class Test batting. The way these guys are manipulating the field is top quality. This is how you dictate terms.
 
Pakistan left atleast 70 runs on the table with their go slow approach and the pitch they prepared is not helping the inexperienced spinners if lyon could not do anything neither will this lot.
 
4 wickets in 7 sessions... Not great cricket.

Something is going to have to change for this pitch to escape ICC's concern. But apparently this pitch is unlikely to break up either...
 
Aussies run rate is over 4 , constantly applying pressure on bowlers , that is how you bat with intent
 
My thinking was right. Pakistani bowling line up looked so venomless to me plus Pakistani batsmen especially Azhar and Imam was so tuktuktuk batting it was bound to happen.
 
ICC should ban this ground so PCB can learn a lesson or two for producing a dead wicket like this

Now whatever happens from here, Pak have to bat again in this match. Either it will waste time and allow Aus to draw game or it will be an under pressure inns to avoid sticky situation
 
Pakistan batted really badly. Azhar Ali played as if he was batting on a minefield.. Unbelievable that they declared 476. Any good team would have scored 600+ on this pitch.
Pakistan might loose the game from here.
 
Is this the worst spin attack in our history? Surely.

Yasir is past it but he walks into this attack with his eyes closed. Ridiculous to keep him out.
 
Please prepare a nice seaming bouncy pitch for the next test. This is just tough to watch.

Totally should have scored 550. The wickets are only going to come when the pitch deteriorates and it looks like we will be the team batting under pressure at that point on day 5 :facepalm:
 
Australia is aiming to bat once. Most probably 650-700 by tea tomorrow. Then Australia will have 4 sessions to bowl us out. We will not handle pressure in the 2nd innings and will be bundled around 150.

The gradual devolution of SLAs is depressing, abdur rehman, Zulfi Babar and then a massive drop to Nauman
 
Posters who criticise HTB's and think they are dime a dozen should watch this match, an in form Yasir Shah could have turned this match around while mediocre spinners are just leaking runs.

That's fact-twisting at its best.
Azhar scored his double ton at strike rate of 56. Pakistan scored 440 odd at a run rate of 3.5. Perfectly fine to me compared to this test.

It was shambolic bowling effort that let the team down. Yasir going at over 5 an over and was smashed to all parts. Wahab and Sohail too leaked runs like no tomorrow.
 
The only way we can beat Australia in our home is to go with dusty rank turners in the next two matches, otherwise no chance of winning this series.

Australian bowlers are not good enough to take ten wickets on this pitch.

This will be a draw. The ease with which Imam and Azhar batted, knew this was too good a pitch for Australia to crash to a bad total.
 
Everyone in the PCB hierarchy, coaching staff, players talks about playing attacking cricket, but then you see batsmen bat at a SR of 20-30.
 
Do we think our batters are feeling a little ashamed after watching these two expose how easy this pitch is? Are they realizing how ordinary their runs were?

Or do we think Imam and Co are happy as they got big runs?
 
Australia bossing the game after the home team batted slow, declared without thought, bowled loosely, and dropped catches.

This theory of having test regulars is ********. These guys play no professional cricket for most of the year and then turn up rusty for the main event. It's a lethargic policy.
 
Unpopular opinion but Shaheen and Naseem should play 2 complete FC seasons before being considered for Test team selection. In Tests you don't select raw talents with almost nothing domestic experience. Mir Hamza and Sameen Gul should be selected for the next Test, if in case Hasan Ali is still unfit. We are seriously missing Hasan Ali in this match.
